Tobias is probably the most talented power metal singer. Avantasia and Edguy truly kick ass but aren't my favorite, definately top 5. And this song is fucking badass, sounds much better then the version with the stratovarius singer really. A perfect band would be Tobias Sammet, Kai Hansen, David Zimmerman ^^... some others but i can't think =)

I completely agree. The new Edguy and new Avantasia sound exactly the same, the only difference being the guest musicians on Avantasia. I'll never understand what makes a musician turn from making amazing power metal to 80s style cock rock. The bad part is, I know I wouldn't hate Tobi's new sound if it were coming from a totally different band, but the fact that Edguy and Avantasia are essentially dead just pisses me off.

Well it is slightly similar.

Tolkki has other similar pairings that sound like each other: Hold on to your dream is like Paradise, Revolution Renaissance is like Soul of a Vagabond. I still think all the three "copies" are good songs though so it doesn't matter. I think it's better to have a good song than an original one.
