I don't see how there can ever be a lasting peace in northern Ireland, the nationalist ones want a 'united Ireland' and the loyalists want to remain part of Great Britain. You can't really have a compromise between the two, either you are part of Great Britain or you are not.

I agree with a lot of the things that Culbert says, but here in S.Armagh there still is the feeling that the movement was sold out by Adams and co, and it left a very bitter taste in the mouths of many people here, especially the older generation and those who lost family members or friends. Still, Adams and McGuinness run the show and that won't change for a long time

im very close to RPG avenue, its changed so much in recent years and belfast has come a long way.
michael is right about the young ones today not understanding aspects the armed struggle, lets hope they never have to learn.

ya it is for the best and peace will remain but there will be more of a push in the future, like he said, to achieve our united ireland
