What a shock!! Bob Wilkins from creaure features, who I watched every Saturday night and Hank Renner who took over the professional wrestling show when KTVU cancelled it in the early 70s. I still miss Walt Harris from "National All Star Wrestling"
@topmjr, actually, Walt Harris was doing "Big Time Wrestling" in Sacramento in 1969 while still doing "National All Star Wrestling" in Oakland, before being replaced by Hank Renner in 1971. According to legend, "National All Star Wrestling" was dropped by KTVU because Roy Shires kept spitting tobacco juice on the studio floor.
Bob was little off on the date he showed ATTACK OF THE MUSHROOM PEOPLE. It was in 1966, not 1967. Amongst some of the guests on this last show was GARY TOMSIC who showed many creative short films and DANA REEMES who later hit the bigtime in Hollywood. The truth on why Bob leaving Television was to spend more time at his advertising agency and with his family.
that was funny!
