There was no pest involved. ERIC BELANGER who played a 3rd line stopper center role threw an innocent slow speed center ice check on Alffredson, who was recently back from injury. After the game the Senators said they took exception to that, and said they went after the Kings top guy, Allison, which is why he ended up fighting. The Kings didn't even know why the Sens were upset.

The 05/06 incident was started by Jeff Cowan trying to start something toward the end of the game with one of the Sens young dmen with a couple of cross checks, the Sen obliged and lost the fight. Bryan Murray, then proceeds to line up Chara in a forward position, and then he continues to crosscheck Tim Gleason until he fights and loses.
