Majority of the world bemoan this lamentable act. The West has shown contemptibility towards Serbia for its interest whatever that may be. I believe the UN is the only true arbiter in the world stage, not the US nor NATO. Hitler committed a crime against the Jews, Milosevic indicted in Hague for his act. The people who burned the flags and the embassy were acting on impulse. They knew they couldn't do anything more.
Also, a majority of the people who took part in the violence were drunk.
I am angered that the Serbian government couldn't fully control the violence of burning the embassy.

Do not underestimate my love for Bosnia. I have family who suffered there.
Burning the embassy was an assault. I never said I supported that. I was angered at what the hooligans did.
I was merely saying that I visit Serbia numerous times. They have the right to protest. I can understand their anger and their upset. They do not, however, have the right to be violent. Burning the embassy was not every citizens plan/idea. Does that give us the right to blame every citizen?

Burning the embassy and burning the flag are two different things. The flag is materialistic. Sure it's a symbol, but it's also a piece of cloth. They can burn as many flags as they want. If we as americans put all our faith and loyalty in a flag, then there is something wrong with us. We should be putting that faith and loyalty in our people, not a piece of cloth.
