  • yea i think ive would b better

  • I heard they're still going to do it, just in their hometown, and in a smaller auditorium.

  • uhg i dont like phill why cant Jonathan do it

  • Exactly. Jonathan Ive actually says ALOO MIN EE UM not ALOO MI NUM

    YAY

  • Apple doesn't want to be on stage with jobs because they want to attack the Informatic Business World by the inside of it. It's just a marketing technique.

  • will there still be WWDC and other apple shows?

  • Yes

  • good point drbuk

  • Jonathan is suppose to be camera shy, that's why you don't get to see him much.

  • But he's ALWAYS in those videos they put out (like the Aluminium MacBook video, the iPod video all of those things)

  • Jonathan ives should do it!

  • ***Hello***

  • my gad i,m stupefied want explained by your proper opinion for previous end mac wordl ?? around 201 nations in the wordl & others only the simple suppositon intelliegence mean

  • who is steve?

  • Steve Jobs, Apple CEO and space adventurer

  • dude how did you get your video in HD and get it to fill the whole space. no lines. looks very nice.

  • this is too long

  • wow ur lazy the longest video I watch is 1 hr.

  • I think apple is cutting costs in more areas than this in order to lower the prices of their products. This might be the case because of how people often complain about how macs are overpriced.

  • actually, apple has been planning to drop Macworld for years!

  • thats stupid chunkybrit21, it wouldn't make a dfference

  • I totally agree with you....

Your videos are nice cause you gather so much info in them ...

    thx! 5* as always

  • true..... phill is not very smooth at keynotes... he tends to sweat and strugle for words... lol...... but once again all i wish is for Steve Jobs to get healthier

  • what happened to steve jobs?

  • he had a sugery for his cancer

  • what kind of caner? do you know?

  • yes pancriotic

  • do you think he'll be alright?

  • cancer

  • I agree, I love Steve Ives speaches

  • I mean Jonathan Ives :P

  • I still have no idea why they want to pull out from Macworld?? I understand the Jobs/Schiller idea, but why drop from Macworld completely!? It's mad!

The problem I have with Jonny Ive and his speaking is that it's kinda slow and I loose interest after a while...

  • Actually, I don't think that that any of us "fans" are really in any kind of position to be saying who should be running Apple or making keynotes. I don't think we're qualified. The only thing I know about the people at Apple is the "appearance" of them at the various keynotes. It takes much more than that to be qualified to run a company like Apple. I suppose that for keynotes they need someone with "showmanship", other than that I don't know.

  • yes obv we cant say anything, we are just being fans and being subjective thats all.lol.

  • Good video DRBUK

  • Ive to replace Jobs :D

  • I find it much more funner with Jobs.

  • they said on the news that theres no more mac world :(... and they said steve jobs won't be doing presentations anymore cuz of medical reasons

  • I don't think Macworld is over at all. You don't pay hundreds for a ticket and thousands to fly there for an hour long Stevenote. You go because of all the cool shit there. They might lose a few people, but it will still be a huge event for years to come.

  • Tim Cook i think will take over.

To clarify: Macworld 2010+ will still go on, just no more Apple.

  • so will apple and steve jobs still be doing WWDC and the other keynotes that they do over the year or will they stop thos as well ??

  • As you say Adrian, nobody can carry out a keynote like Steve Jobs, he is the man we have all come to expect to present the keynotes. I also agree with you about Ive doing it rather than Phil. Awesome video Adrian mate as usual an excellent perspective on the Mac World Expo end.

  • aww. I loved watching apple's keynote presentations.

  • Are you gonna go to the last mac world?

  • It's a cold day in hell today

  • An example of the problem of No expo from apple is as they are so damn secretive - do I buy an imac from chrismas or do I wait to "sometime next year" when they possibly release a touch screen Imac (a massive iphone)

  • Oh god, I can see this being the inspiration for a third season of Trigger Happy TV.

    :P

  • DRBUK - I think your spot on with the cost of doing these presentations. Honda have pulled out of doing the F1 and Suzuki out of rally racing - The American Automotive industry has been told to strim their costs down to get their requested bail out money - All of this just shows big business need to strim the fat from their operations.

The potential hazard I can see is that Apple are so damn secretive that it will be hard to find out what they are planning and when to buy and apple product.

  • This is a good point; if people keep waiting for the next big thing, then when will they put their money on the counter?

At the risk of dragging up an age old argument, I think this is a good motivation for apple to improve the modularity and expandability of their lower end products, so that customers who may wish to use them for a long time can be confident that they are buying something that is "future-feature-proof", for want of a better term.

  • do you think that the mini will be updated, or are you saving it for a predictions video?

i hope they give another keynote, it makes me look forward to january.

  • Rob its a pain in the arse isnt it! i was in the same position last xmas if is should by a macbook pro in december - then they released the figure jesture and upgrade in April! Bastards! lol

  • Personally I think they'll replace the mini with something else rather than update it.

The iMac and Pro desktop lines have their respective professional niches, from which they won't be expelled, while the Minidoesn't really have that kind of entrenched market.

I think its more likely that they would replace it, either with something targetted at a more specific demographic, or with a wider appeal to desktop users to strengthen its position during the coming recession.

  • The lack of an Apple presence at Macworld is all about money. But, I don't think it will matter. Apple is continuing to grow and they are continuing to make better products: despite what gamers think. They've put in a bunch of cool new patents and they are about to release snow leopard which will reenergize their OS, which is already better than Vista or 7. Apple is healthy, which was Steve Job's job...maybe he can finally rest before it's his time.

  • apple users = fanboys

  • What kind of computer do you use. Because I bet you that you use an OEM from a manufacturer that wants to install OS X on their machines. Apple makes great stuff. If your poor ass can't afford one, then who cares? I don't. And no one here values your opinion. Go play xbox.

  • You realise he was bashing Mac users, and not Macs themselves, right?

  • You can take it that way if you want. But the whole "fanboy" comment connotes that someone likes something that sucks but is blind to see that.

  • That would be a matter of interperetation. A Fanboy is equally capable of loving the best thing since sliced bread.

  • Windows Users = Dipshits

  • Put Apple computers in Walmart. I think Steve Jobbs lost his energy. He is sickly.

  • i agree lol

  • Oh a gamer doesn't like Apple? Surprising. You'll spend thousands of dollars to play games, but, you hate Apple: computers that are great for video editing, music creation, art, journalism, photos, office work. Who the fuck cares what game you use. Go get a fucking xbox and shut the fuck up!

  • ok dude calm done i was messing around with put the apple computers in walmart. and no i dont spend thousands of dollars on games. I only play games like COD4, COD5, and gears 2. Ok and third I do have a xbox 360 you applefanboy ok damn look at you get a life dude! repling to everyones comment lol what a apple fag

  • to be honest, I was a little disappointed to learn about all of this, but mostly because I'm a fairly new Mac user and would have liked to see the keynotes continue (I've only been following Apple for the last couple years)... at the same time, though, I'm looking forward to seeing how this turns out. like you said, I think Schiller would do the best job from a business perspective, while Jonny would do a much better job presentation-wise. I guess we'll see what happens in '09. :/

  • I think part of the reason that they're making the move to Phil is to show that Apple has a deep bullpen. Since the whole Steve Jobs' health scare went down I think they want to reassure fans and shareholders that if something were to happen to Steve there would be plenty of people to take his place. Great video, keep it up!

  • Nah, Jonathan Ive wouldn't be the best option. He's known to be very shy. Phil Schiller would be the option.

  • I have a feeling Steve Jobs's health is playing a factor in them ending MacWorld. After Steve Jobs, Johnathan Ive would be the next best person to do these presentations. Schiller is a genius but doesn't have the charisma of the other two. But Schiller should take over the company when Jobs leaves.

  • I can remember you were saying that you would like to go to a WWDC or a macworld in the future, looks like apples decided that one for you. :) p.s. i had to watch this video from your profile page and then go directly to the all comments page, because every time i go to this video directly and only this video safari crashes any ideas.

  • for some reason it loads up a blank page weird....what bullshit

  • Jonathan Ive is even worse than Phil. I agree, he is charismatic, but he pauses too much.

  • i think is if they are ending it then let steve end it he is the best.

  • i want it be done by Jonny Ive or Bertrand Serlet. No way do i like phil schiller doing the keynote one bit.

  • Why?

  • didnt like how he handled in during the iPhone SDK one or the WWDC one.

  • It's only the second keynote in which he presented. How are you gonna expect him to handle it perfectly? *common sense*

  • no its not, he did the France one releasing the iMac G5, i liked that one but he changed

  • Phils been doing the keynotes with Steve since the 90's.

  • What is happening to apple! :(

  • I think apple will drop out of macworld but create something new, bigger.

  • MacUniverse

    or

    MacTopia??

  • Definitely MacUniverse

  • why steve why?

oh well i think apple has learned from the past and won't let the 90's happen all over again. (assuming steve is retiring)

  • so sad :( I do understand it though. As apple said on their website, they don't NEED events like this anymore. I will miss it and it is one of those things that made them "different."

Steve Jobs made it even more enjoyable.

  • on their website? where?

  • in the presse release section...

  • Economical crisis, Enough brick & mortar Apple Stores (and more to come next year across europe)

  • so depressing? i'm gonna miss steve when he leaves thoughhh
