Thanks! This video has really helped me cope with testicular cancer and somewhat reassure me that what I've read on the internet is true in regards to the process and the expectations. I was diagnosed with testicular cancer on the 28th of Feb, had surgery to remove the testicle, blood work to monitor the tumor markers, and go for chemo on 28 Mar. Plese continue to post progress, if only to reasure new testicular cancer patients of life after diagnoses. Thanks again.
I did the Octreotide injections myself for a couple of months too. I ended up on TPN for another month with a feeding tube in my neck. I would have sooner had the no fat diet. I am two years cancer free and have gained all the weight back that I had lost.
I had the same problem after my RPLND. They kept me in the hospital for a little over a month then my doctor put me on octreotide and a no fat diet for a year. I had to have a lung surgery a year after... Things are all clear now! Hope things are well for you!!
My husband has just found out he has throat and maybe stomach cancer. The problem maybe that the limpnodes are enlarged and pushing against his small intestines, which they think is cancer. we just started and will see cancer doctors next week I hope. Did you have problems with limp nodes pushing against your small intestines. I have watched your videos.
thanks for sharing! I have a doctors appointment next Friday to get a lump (enlargement) checked out. Just by the looks and feel of it I'm sure it will probably get removed whatever it ends up being!
You tell the reality of it, but you also show that it is beatable. Keep us updated! ; ) Hope all is well.
Thanks for sharing your story Tim, it means alot to people (even a complete stranger such as myself) and good luck with the remainder of your recovery :)

All of my lymph nodes that were removed were along my aorta.
Mine were very small 1-2 cm so I didn't have complications from there size or location.
Best of luck to your husband and yourself. Keep it as positive as possible. Believe me it helps.

I get this surgery next Friday. I'm a little nervous. But seeing everything will be okay is very comforting.
