Wow, i'll never be able to do that. Grats. :28- :39 you body spends energy just trying to hold up the weight, its your max take ur time and rest if you need to(before lifting the weight)
@mmamilano They are using better technique, that's why. But there are no olympic lifters in the 242 range doing 550. In the 275-300 range yes, but not in the 240-50 range.
more like behind the neck split jerks with a press out but hey thats olympic lifting stuff, not too bad form for a power lifter. also if u had a glute injury, olympic lifting movements involve more of the back, lowerback, glutes, and leg muscles more so
@olylifter69kg Yeah, I wasn't exactly sure what to call what I was doing in this video. I was initially trying to do jerks, but I had such a huge press-out that I called it a push press. :)
The glute injury that I had was only bothered at a certain hip angle. As long as I didn't close my hips too far, I was fine. Thankfully that's behind me now.
You're a fucking animal, man. I get tired just watching your videos. You're pumping out some SERIOUS volume in some videos. If you were to total up your tonnage, it'd be astronomical. Keep the vids coming, very inspirational.

you're strong, but now it just blows my mind even more that there are olympic lifters your size doing this with 550lbs from the rack position.

if you care at all, doing a shorter dip takes advantage of the bar whip and might help you get a little more weight up :)
m1kasd 2 years ago
385 is nothing right, it just has to be heavier....
glueissticky00 2 years ago
once you start going that heavy, the bar whip starts having a huge effect on whether or not the lift is successful or not =/
m1kasd 2 years ago
Oh good Lord. This is what you do with a glute injury?
