Wow, I'm surprised I found this. I used to watch WNDU religiously when I was younger. Tricia and Gordy in the 90's kicked ass. Then they started having less fun.
On the web is the ONLY way i can watch a station like WNDU. The analog is gone but it's memory will linger on. You hate 2 see it go--but love 2 watch it leave.
I like this video, especially the way the announcer gave the technical info in the past tense and with a seeming sense of pride for WNDU's analog mission successfully accomplished "THIS, was WNDU-TV, Channel 16, South Bend") I used to work in TV, so please excuse the gushing over an otherwise dull ending.
Was WNDU founded or owned by Notre Dame, per the call letters?
@richartrod Yes. WNDU was owned by Notre Dame. The NDU was for Notre Dame University. However now, just like the university, WNDU stands for nothing now.

Did they really play the national anthem before they cut?! That's awesome! My local cbs station just kinda quit . Anyway thanks for uploading.

@richartrod Yes. WNDU was owned by Notre Dame. The NDU was for Notre Dame University. However now, just like the university, WNDU stands for nothing now.
