  • What a marvelous reminiscence. My piano teacher at Capitol University, Loy Kohler, was a regular soloist with CSO, and with his encouragement I won one of the high school concerto contests and performed with Whallon. I ushered CSO concerts for several seasons and got to see (free) Rubinstein, Milstein, Arrau, and many other world class artists.

  • What a nice video; I had not seen this promo before. And it is nice to see Mr. Whallon "at the helm"; I always enjoyed his conducting and the FREE concerts which the orchestra performed throughout the community. I guess those days are "gone with the wind".

  • Hi Cass 2540

Yes, those days are gone but not forgotten.

    Kind of like Camelot .

Thanks for the nice comment about my father.

  • Hello CSO,

How nice of you to post this.

It's great to see Dad at the helm of the CSO again.

    Those were really good times.

    Thanks

    Paul Whallon

  • How cool to see this, especially in light of all their difficulties this past few years. I remember those days when they'd come to the schools. Long live the CSO!
