  • Matt Barlow was the best Shouter Iced Earth ever had. THATS FACT!!! End of discuss!

  • i just came..........\m/(0_0)\m/

  • I saw Stu in Rome and it was an epic show, he's an amazing vocalist.

  • @SpawnRevenge92 you got to see him sing this song? damn!! I want to see that soooo bad!

  • @brakoify He sang it at Gods Of Metal in 2008, I'm a lucky bastard I know XD

  • @SpawnRevenge92 JEALOUS!!! lol

  • @brakoify Stu's version is awesome too, keep your eyes open for a show near you! :)

  • @SpawnRevenge92 I have one near me on February 26 FTW

  • @brakoify Awesome, have a great time! The setlist should be awesome, they're doing a lot of old stuff too :)

  • im going to see iced earth in February i too am curious about stu preforming. im sure itll be kickass though!!!!!!!

  • Wow this matched up better than I thought it would. They sound killer together.

  • Matt + Tim = épico

  • Needs less Tim

  • Matt+Tim = 20.000 Strong

  • Ripper and Barlow are both amzing singers in their own right, and if Iced Earth could pull off having them both it would be something new and revolutionary in Metal. 2 super talented lead singers? DAMN.

  • this...is EPIC. O_o

  • TEN THOUSAND SEIZE THE DAAAAAAY!

  • The chorus!! fuckin great!

  • Do more matt+tim duet videos,

also this video made me cry man tears!

  • I could imagine well, that these two guys could sing together in Iced Earth. Imagine "Something Wicked Part III" would be released with Ripper and Barlow together. But unfortunately Schaffer took Stu from Into Eternity. I hope he chose the right decision

  • @Brutalslamgrinder I was impressed by Stu's skills, I'm very curious to see him performing :)

  • @SpawnRevenge92 You should remake this with this version: watch?v=Zq1GKwUU5Lk

    It's alot better.

  • @cubby3o5 Yeah, that was a very cool version, I thought about it too while watching the dvd. I'll might work on it but I can't promise anything.

  • @SpawnRevenge92 Saw Stu live in Birmingham UK last week... he does the lows-mids awesome, but can sometimes go a bit sharp on the highs. Definitely worthy for Iced Earth though!

  • @Brutalslamgrinder believe me he made a great choice

  • @Brutalslamgrinder Look up "Into Eternity Painkiller"

I beleve I have said too much.

  • @Brutalslamgrinder Hell yeah, he did! I was doubtfull too but Dystopia rocks like hell and Block is a great singer who combines the best of Ripper and Barlow. I hope he can reproduce that live!

  • The singer you hear the most is Matt..well no shit, he's got a much more powerful voice..

  • Comment removed

  • I think this means nothing it is just one song and yes in this song ripper owns but cmon man both singers are great and ripper cant sing the horror show song s anyway for example

  • if you hear halford you know ripper is just duplicating his style. All screams and a kind of talk singing for all other parts that have no place for climax.Great singers sing all levels from gracefull, moderate, heavy,to BALLS OUT!I don't wana hear someone go from 1st gear to 5th for every song.It dosn't hold the music in the right perspective

  • @cliftonite187 You must really dislike Owens, huh? Well let me tell ya, there's two ways you can look at Owens' vocal style: you can see it as him duplicating Halford or as him merely having an excellent and powerful voice (as to why the rest of Priest picked him in the first place, I'm sure). If Owens is ripping off Halford, then Halford's ripping off Dio, Dio was ripping off Ozzy, and Ozzy was ripping off Lennon.

  • @xRockandMetalx I'm telling you he's a Copy of Halford man!Even his stage moves are the same as him with the constant fist pump thing! You don't just wake up and sing that high. It's conspired and practiced to do.Halford came up with his style and Owens grew up with it and sang it growing up and never found his own style plain and simple.Dio and ozzy sound nothing alike and dio was in bands longer than ozzy and thats a fact!Ozzy riping of lennon is just as laughable if not full blown retarded.

  • @cliftonite187 His stage moves too, huh? Oh boy...

I saw Iron Maiden on their Final Frontier tour last summer and Dickinson was doing the whole fist pumping thing quite a bit as well. I suppose he's ripping off Halford too eh?

If you want to look at Owens singing and stage moves as ripping off Halford then that's your problem, dude. But the rest of use know that he's merely a great metal singer witha voice outside the growling, roaring and screeching that plagues most modern metal bands today.

  • @cliftonite187 And that last sentence in my first comment was sarcasm, fool. Of course Dio ripping off Ozzy and Ozzy ripping off John Lennon isn't true. Just like Owens ripping off Halford, no?

What I meant was those statements are as factual as Tim Owens being a ripoff of Rob Halford; which, with all due respect, is merely what you're percieving.

  • you should do this for Travel in Stygian. Mat Barlow and John Greely equals full of win.

  • oh, come on, you noobs.

Iced Earth doesn't need a pussy screamer like Owens. he's not the kind of singer for the darker riffs of Iced. Besides, the only thing that the ripper does is SCRREEEAAAAMMMM like a no-testicles guy.

Barlow, in the other corner, has the kind of voice that can actually kick you and bring you back from hell anytime. HE IS the guy to Iced Earth, no other can make the job well.

  • @dharcoon tooo fuckn right man! its like there's something missing in owens' voice, it just doesnt have as much of a punch to it. like hear all of barlows highs on horror show and there is so much fucking energy in there. when owens does his screams, like in this song, they just sound so weak. and another advantage barlow has is that he can sing low.

i much prefer iced earth with barlow, they have a much more european metal sound, like a lot more refined. sounds a lot better i think.

  • matt barlow can suck the ripper cock

  • I prefer Matt in general 'cause i like deep voices, but Ripper...come on, he's DIO rightful heir!!!!

  • Tim Ripper humilha Matt Barlow nessas musicas altas.

  • dude that sounds so badass like that! thank you for posting i wish i could get a whole cd of there best songs like this.

  • dude that sounds so badass like that! thank you for posting

  • I wish Schaffer would listen to this. I'd think he'd piss himself to hear how amazing this version is.

  • my brain shot clean out my ass.

  • @sabbathrules92 that is some fun shit dude

  • @bashenbrian thats not fun. it sounds very painful

  • Fuck, both of them are awesome.

It's useless trying to compare them, because their vocal styles are different.

Yet, when you put them together, only sheer epicness can ensue.

  • @BlueMoonSaber agreed

  • Iced Earth = Tight.

  • They should totally have two lead singers. I'm far more partial to RIpper than Barlow, but I like them both for different reasons. Ripper's high notes are epic, but Barlow sounds like the bowels of hell opening. A perfect mix, I think.

  • @LughLamfhada love your definiton of Matt :D

I dunno if it would be possible or convenient to have them both but at least e project, a liv,e something would be awesome :D

  • They Shoud!,

Like For the Darker Songs Have Barlow, and For Fast Pase Songs have Screaming TIM "RIPPER" OWENS!

  • @LughLamfhada Very true indeed. Matt can hit the high notes like no other though, but not throughout a whole song anymore :/

I saw him last June, just a month and a half before him leaving. Now let's see Stu top those two!

  • I just jizzed in my pantz

  • They both are a great duet!!Iced earth are on my top3 top bands :)

  • owens ftw

  • Ripper all the way--everytime!!! Iced Earth must know it too, since they used Ripper's background vocals for the chorus even when Matt sang it...! ;)

  • this is just too fuckin COOL!!!!!!!

  • SAME FUCKING TEMPO ! WOW ! This would be incredible !

  • How is it literally the same tempo? That's incredible.

  • The chorus with both of them singing is incredible.

It's so fucking great and epic!

  • Ripper is the best on the scene right now. Barlow is a major badass too of course.

  • Awesome duet man.

  • Honestly, Barlow is the better singer, though he can't do this song like Ripper can, even if The Glorious Burden was done by Barlow, I do not think it would have been as good as Ripper.

  • If they accaully did that, everyone within the limits of hearing would jizz them selfs

  • @WraithThorns Damn straight man! :D

  • @SpawnRevenge92 Oh Hell Yeah!

  • @WraithThorns that aint no shit, think i just spotted my shorts! they need to make albums of this stuff!!!!!!

  • Tim is the "Ripper" and that's excactly what he does best ... he rips these songs apart .... and I mean it in a good way! Hail The Ripper!

  • @knoblord Damn straight, Ripper owns! \m/

  • This sounds so fucking badass

  • best version of ten thousand strong i've ever heard..just love it

  • wow, they really should sing this song together, just sound fucking great!!

    both are amazing vocalists

  • mattew barlow and tim owens so have to do a side project now that would be a killer album

  • i would love nothing more than to see both men work together in the future. and yeah that scream at the end is unbelievable. i think matt is better suited to IE but owens is an excellent singer himself and it wasnt fair the fans didnt take to him. but its a bruce dickinson/blaze bayley scenario. both are excellent singers but the former left a legacy which for some people was too good to be attempted by someone else

  • all i know is that they both have male pattern baldness! haha

  • @r1chie311music well Matt cut his hair really short after leaving Iced Earth so yea haha

  • This song always cheers me up ;)

  • this is an extordinary song with one vocalist alone but two! the chorus is fucking amazing!

  • both are great singers but Barlow is my favorite singer he's in my top 5 , iced earth is my religion !!!!!!!!!!

  • @ultimatemanofwar Actually, both Ripper and Matt are in my top 5 singers. I like Matt because he's just freaking awesome and has a different sound from the regular high velocity screaming of most power metal.

  • @ultimatemanofwar yeah, one of my 3 pilars.. KISS alice cooper and Iced Earth.. my 3 pilars in my life

  • Amore mio stai guardando il video ora n'è vero? ^^

  • dolce che sei ^^!!! ti adoro :)

  • Love you :)

  • 0:12 = YEAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRGHHHH!!!!

  • very cool

  • impresionante

  • This is great \m/

both of them singing togheter it's just epic

  • :) Thanks.

  • i like tim better

  • I agree, his scream is longer, and his tones are higher ^^

  • I just love iced earth. LOVE them lol. Its the music that matters. but god was i happy when i learned matt was back. And id love them to do a re record of this song like the did with the trilogy for the ripper. Just for the fans sake to hear it in 2 awesome ways

  • epic great job man, i don't see why John Schafer doesnt actually have them both as vocals

  • Man it was two weeks since I didn't get an intelligent comment on my vids, thank you:)

    I agree 100%\m/

  • @SpawnRevenge92 np im just sick of people forcing their opinions of who is the best iced earth singer, its pointless.

keep up the good work anyway

  • Well said,and thank you:)

  • @malaketh cause if Jon did that, the world would implode from sheer epicness

  • @WraithOfTheNight now thats just silly, the universe would. But it would be epic

  • @malaketh I asked the same thing

  • @malaketh couldn't have said it better myself, why the hell did Schafer let Owens go when Barlow came back? He could've had two legends up front instead of just one. Fans of both camps would've been ecstatic, I love Ripper myself, and was saddened when he left Iced Earth.

  • ROFL...

How can anyone say that Matt does this song better than the ripper? Anyone who said that is pure homer. This is Tim's song pure and simple and no remake is going to change that.

  • I think Matt's better with Iced Earth, but I feel bad for Tim because he's always the replacement lol (Judas Priest, Iced Earth, Rising Force) and people always diss on him because they're used to the original singer.

  • I agree completely man.

I think they're both amazing and I like Tim's work with IE(actually I LOVE some of his songs),but matt is just my favourite, and perfect for the band.

Tim is always insulted and treated like crap just because he has to fill the shoes of almost legendary singers like halford and barlow. He's a great singer, who does his job perfectly and he deserves respect.

  • Yeah. Framing Armageddon (album) would have been totally different without Ripper, he did awesome on that.

  • Agreed! I would like to hear matt redoing Framing Armageddon, but Tim is just awesome on that one.

  • ripper so much better . barlow is ruining the songg

  • I'll add "Io adoro Matt Barlow" in italian:)

    I agree on everything:)

  • ripper for the fucking win

  • Twenty Thousand Strong

  • XD I could have named it that way...

  • owens and barlow sound unbelievably amazing... i don't even know how describe it hahah.. matt barlow is a beast i love his fuckin vocals

  • wow great work!, must have been difficult to match up the tracks!,

for me matt barlow will ALWAYS be the voice for I.E., and i think on songs like the clouding and setian massacre he fucking rules, but for 10k strong and a charge to keep i would go for tim, i think his timbre just fits the song a little better!

  • I pretty much agree:) They're both awesome but Matt is just perfect for the band(though I love some of Tim's work, framing armageddon is amazing done by him).

I wish Tim had a band has cool as Iced Earth but with his own style(beyond fear isn't that greya IMO).

  • He did good when he was in Judas Priest. (Owens)

  • i think tim is better suited for this song...but barlow is IE

  • I pretty much agree,Matt is my favourite, but they're pretty much equals and this song is for Tim.

  • Both of them are among the best vocalists ever...but I think, Tim needs his own band.

IE without Barlow isn't IE to me, like JP isn JP without Halford.

    They're all great.

    I just don't like Tim's voice. ^^

  • I hate when people say which singer is better. They both are phenomenal. Bottom line is Matt Barlow sing his songs very well and Tim sings his songs very well. If you guys really did like Iced Earth you wouldn't compare them because they both are amazing.

  • i agrree with you.

What I hate even more,is people saying that one sucks or that they hate himn.

We're lucky enough to be able to listen to both of these metal gods,we should appreiate them and be grateful.

  • LONG LIVE ICED EARTH!!!!!! \m/

  • Hellyeah, they kept me alive for the last 3 years.

    Thank you Iced Earth.Thank you.

  • Yeah i agree both are amazing vocalists, but Iced earth aint the same without matt. Also matt has more personality and emotion in his songs, i dunno thats just my opinion.

  • Ripper is better singer..

  • Tim Owens= The Ripper

    Matt Barlow= Iced Earth

Owens is good in judas priest and iced earth but personally i like matt barlow better in iced earth. But as an overall singer i like Owens Better. I just think Barlow is better with iced earth

  • Owens>Borlan

  • Borlan?

  • trilogy. srry if i confuse people xD

  • No problem:) you know they have made duets with that trilogy(though not exactly like you said),check them out.

  • Just imagine. the first part of the something wicked with barlow the second with owens and the third both together... i think that would have been simply extraodinary. btw i prefer the ripper but still like barlow

  • Do you mean the something wicked this way comes trilogy(Prophecy, birth of the wicked, the coming curse) or Something wicked part 1,2,3 from framing armageddon and the crucible of man? I think both would be cool

  • Dude nice! Though personally I would have done a call and response instead since at that range it's hard to distinquish between the two when combined together. Espeically with John doing vocals in there as well. So it's actually 3 voices in this all at once.

  • You know,I did think of doing the duet that way, alternating the two singers but that would have come a bit weird, since one version is studio and the other is a live, the sounds would have been too different:(together though, the mix up in a powerful cocktail:)

  • Yes, yes, you are correct. What was I thinking? Matts performance is from the graspop performance yeah seperate the studio and live would clash instead of blend.

  • Exactly:) but if they'll re-record framing armageddon,it will be possible, and indeed awesome!

  • They wouldn't do Matt and Tim together on an album, even if Jon accepted Tim wouldn't go back because of the way he was kicked from the band, I think there is emnity. However this is good... very good. And just listening to it you can hear that they are both hitting the exact notes but octaves apart Good work

  • Well, you're probably right(if I were Tim I'd be issed),but who knows...we can still hope:)maybe Tim will forget and forgive.

    Thanx for the comliments anyway:)

  • I couldn't see Tim not holding a grudge, he still has one with judas priest.

  • Yeah,I think you're right,pity though...

  • Sweet thanks, that was really creative, I would've never thought about that! Also another amazing song...

  • Matt and Tim's vocals sounds great together, awesome video

  • thanx, wow this seems to be my most liked video!

  • oh, Yeap, But, good work... n I'll see your others videos

  • all right! thanks for support:)

  • kick fuckin ass!!!! its cool how good they sound together, someone should aproach jon about the possibility of doin somethin like this

  • that would be so cool

  • sounds like a great idea... but jon probably wouldn't do it. i'm sure you've heard jon wants to re-release part 1 with matt on voice.

  • yeah i think he wants it released as a double album with matt doin both albums, personally i think thats a slap in the face to fans who bought both albums already

  • That's f*cking great! 5 Stars.

  • thanx! \m/ and you're the 17th voter too(17 is a lucky number for me)

  • Ten Thousand fucking Strong...

  • Glad you liked it?

  • yes, man... great video!! \,,/

  • Nice one!

  • thanx a lot:) check out my other works(their good, ther ratings are low because a hater gave 1 stars).

  • Bad ass!!!!!

The only thing in my opinion needs a little

fixing is the intro scream i think Both there screams should be the same volume wise. Cause you kind of lowered Tim's voice there.

  • well thanx for the compliment,I'm sorry for the scream but it wasn't east to do it in perfect equilibrium:)

  • this is better than the original!

  • Why thank you!

  • wow they should do the next iced earth album with both matt and tim

  • HELL YEAH!

  • Matt and Tim sound badass together.

  • I said it once and I'll say it again:

I want to see them both, singing together on stage!

  • Hell yeah! That would be awesome! :)

  • This is Awesome!!!

    Killer*****

  • I would say this kick some serious ass, however, that would be a massive understatement.

    Fantastic, awesome fuckin' brilliant!!!!!!

    Well done!

  • Why,thank you!

  • awesome how do you did it with the tempo?! it´s nearly impossible that they are at the same speed

    awesome job!!!

  • you know,it was actually eassy, the tempos are the same(this prooves how good they are live)!
