hey tamworthaj! thanks! i was standing at the very back of the front section (nearest the water). I haven't been back since 2003 so I'm not sure if they've changed the area, but it was the best viewing area I could find. yea definitely let me know how yours turns out. i'm going back in january, so i might try and record it again in hd too.

Love it. I have never though of watching from that point. I am going again from the uk (3rd time) in 29 days and have just got a hd cam just for the Epcot Illuminations if i can work out where you was standing i will recorded it in HD and let you know . But i have got to say that even with out HD this is the best vid i have seen so far (and im addicted to the vids)

The fire barge is missing. The tanks tend to crack, due to extreme temperature changes and/or misfires, so there are times when the barge fails.

Thank you for clearing that up! I went last week and saw the fire and asked the person who i was with (who lives there) if it had always been there, as i have been every year since '96 before it even was a show, and have never seen the fire before! I guess i jsut always caught it on a bad night! haha Thanks! =D

I was standing along the front edge of the lake (as you walk from Spaceship Earth). I think it's Showcase Plaza. There's an large area surrounded by plants. I was at the very back edge so I could stand up. I wish I had my DV Video camera back then...the picture would be so much clearer.

Just where abouts in Epcot were you stood to film this? Which Land? This MUST be the best location!!! Am going in May and need to be stood here!!!!

This is taken between the "Towers" gift shops, at the unction between future world and world showcase. Up-close seating is normally reserved for those who have special needs, but about 30 min. before the show they open the platform up to everyone. Hope this helps!

glad you all liked the video. I wish I had my DV camera back then, but it came out pretty good considering. I loved that show so much, I made sure I filmed it from the perfect location. It was near the coca cola museum in front of the big fountain. there's a big open area near the lake edge, we were at the very back part of that.

I came home today my plane landed this morning and i just came back from disney world... I was there for new years eve and I recorded the entire evenings fireworks... I'll put it on here soon It was soooo cool when the british fireworks came on it was absolutely fantastic... me and my whole family were shouting and yelling... we celebrated new years twice... the English and the American,... Just w8 and see for yourself... it was wicked!!!

This was after the inferno bardge caught fire. The air launch for the large explosion is on the inferno bardge. That is also why their isn't any fire.

Well it's fine now cus there was fire this time... what actually happened?

A firework exploded in the mortar early in the day and damaged the inferno barge. It's been fine ever sence.

He's right, maybe they forgot that blast of fireworks!

I've never seen them do Illuminations without the inferno barge. No flames! It really detracts from the show without it.

It's either due to high winds or heavy rain. But the barge was out of service in 2005-2006 due to a firework misfiring

i love Illuminations I saw the current version in 2000 durring the Millinuem celebration the Music was wonderful . I cried during the show. I hope that i can get a copy of the show's music somewhere at WDW when i go next year to Disney world
