  • This was the frequency black people were on back then!! As a kid..you could see it! The record companies created a shift that toook R&B to a whole new level!! This was no evolutionary process, it was specifically designed to destroy the black community! MAke us into lovers of un-natural sex, disrespected each other and made us grossly materialistic!! • @agapereign I lived in Los Angeles when this song came out. It was the summer of 1976. We had a radio channel called KJLH, Kindness, Joy, Love and Happiness. They played all the best R and B and gave the city its beat. My family lived in Northern IL and I became acquainted with WBMX when I was in town visiting. They were another great station.

  • my dad used to play this before my sister was born, now i know why shes here

  • i started listening to this back in the day off my uncle. this is diffenately classic. it also is good music to blaze a good memory on. so go head!

  • @Drewyblue1 zapp and roger used autotune in the 80's didn't they? I think it was called a talkn=box or something like that back then

  • @dirtdogg619 it was not auto tune. a talk box is wayy different from auto tune.

  • @Drewyblue1 dont forget the 80's INTRODUCED autotune to the world, but it was used in spades, and for good effect, not every single song.

  • BABY YEAH !!!!

  • @Drewyblue1 I was only 6 when this came out, but when that's all your parents listen to, you never forget the good stuff!!

  • Beautiful music...tension's gone!

  • My how time flies!

  • makes me laugh that there's people hating on lil' wayne here on this page. I dig this and I dig lil' wayne... lol

  • Mz Lady Zee well like the others who've posted and have commented on the song ,are right ,the music from that era waz great! I myself prefer 2 listen 2 the muzic from back then,in fact most of my music iz from that era! Thumbz up 2 the music & the artists from back-n- the day!

  • @terrence763 Bravo!!!!!!

  • @terrence763 AMEN!!!

  • @jfsgro back in the day.. this was the last dance of the night.. everyone would sing "don't you come too soon! " & laugh as they staggered out the door

  • @terrence763 Bwahahahahaha! IMMA NEED you to say that one mo 'gin cuz I don't think they heard you....for real! Who DOES that??? Seriously. This smooth groove with the silky soul singing and they bring up the Weezy??

  • @terrence763 I would never listen to or buy Lil Wayne's music anyway.

  • @evergreenstater I HEAR YOU, ME NEITHER!!

  • This song makes me think of the beauty of the inner city... And it does have a beauty. If you don't think so, just consider all of the great music--all of the REAL music--it's inspired.

  • @goronezgo3 I got the Carter 4. Happen to love the album. I love this song also. Im amazed at how many comments on youtube hating on lil wayne. You have to be very successful to have this many haters. must be nice.

  • @shelyksit I don't have a problem with LiL Wayne , but what you have to stop , think , and realize is the fact that this song is almost 40 years old !!!! Just think about that for a second 40 years ... Wow !! Weezy most popular song is Lolipop , that song came out 3 years ago and if you play that song right now most people I know will consider you lame , its a difference in popular music and timeless music , this is timeless music right here ...

  • @goronezgo3 What does the age of this song have to with you hating on lil wayne. Some people still listen to classical music from 100 years ago. should they hate on norman connors because his song has only been listened to for 40 years. Im just tired of everyone hating on every southern rapper that has success. I can hardly read youtube comments without someone hating on lil wayne. No one listens to hard knock life anymore either but no one goes around hating on jay z because of it.
