yea thats how the piano part goes....our choir is singing this for festival...:P u guys are good hosana hosana deo hosano in excelsis...i love this song! im an alto and it sounds so cool...even though our guys arent that good and we r in middle school :P
i'm doing this song for honor chours... its really hard cuz there's only 9 of us... 5 Alto's and 4 saprano's! i hav 2 listen to this to help me with the pernonseation!
omg my chorus is singing this for our solo and esemble compotion and im a freshman in a choir of 70 we make it so powerful but im on the alto secetion and in the song that a big "p" word and i have no idea how to pronouce it... only alto sing in... any help?
i hate singing this song. im only 7th grade. i dont know why my teahcer chose this. were also singing snatas on his way melody. i love tht. its sooooo fun. but u guys sound amazing. im the part tht sings plenti thing
Your vowels are terrible. Hosana shouldn't rhyme with van. Sanctus shouldn't rhym with sank. My choir is singing this at Christmas. I will say that everyone looks nice wearing the same robes, though.
Festival Sanctus was pretty good - I would recommend a little more dynamic contrast in some sections, and it could be sung a little more precisely for a sharper sound. But all in all nice job.
Our group needs some hot robes like that. We're singing this at school and I hate it so much...Not this video, just the song in general and the way our director condicts and plays it...It drags and our frshman just aren't confident for it. it's beyond their level
I respectfully disagree with your second suggestion. There is no punctuation nor any indication in the music that there should be a break. This is how we chose to interpret it, but to each his own. I do agree that there could be more dynamic contrast.
This is how we rock! You guys did pretty good, too, though. And you had more people in your choir than we do. I think I counted 21 guys, we only have 9. But, we worked very hard on both our songs, and I'm sure your chorus did the same, so I'm not at all surprised at how well they all turned out.
we sang this for our festival

Not bad, the piano did a lot of backing though. Not bad though.

The piano didn't back anything. The piano simply played the piano part.

dynamic is not clear enough...
hosana deo, "de" should be accented.
when repeating "hosana hosana deo" to "hosana in excelsis" there should be a break after the first deo but not keep on going, 'cuz it sounds lazy.

i agree with your point while being informed it might sound better but like you said there is no indacation of a break

Thanks! We enjoyed your school's performance as well. It's always good to hear different interpretations of the same song. :)
