  • a bit like the Hollies here ... beautiful

  • I loved that nearly... slapstick film and i think one of the reasons was this amazing song.

  • My inspiration song .

  • I love what the drummer is doing behind them... :P

  • CHEVERE

  • I love Pete Ham and Tom Evans....♥♥

  • you can see the film crew moving behind them in the backdrop - kind of surreal - from a 70's TV pop producer's perspective it would have been anyway ;)

  • I agree with everything you said, gtrDan1963, with the exception of Magic Christian being a great film!

  • Tommy and Pete..brothers till the end

  • Obviously the bass was over-dubbed in the original by Tom Evans, but since he's on acoustic guitar here, you see Joey pretending to play the bass....but not too well. Still nice to see these rare videos though. Thanks for posting.

  • Will men ever stop shaving thier heads in exchange for hair again? I had thought the baroque era would return. It never came.

  • Oh, this is priceless. Watching artists openly laugh at the ridiculousness of lip syncing a 'live' performance. They rock.

  • great band, tragic destiny...

  • chevere

  • 10 people can't carry on till tomorrow. Impatient bastards.

  • Oh Tommy... what a beautiful man, you did not know how awesome you were

Carry On Till Tomorrow!!

THANK YOU SO MUCH : )

  • * * * * *

    AWESOME

  • to much to listen to without bawling my eyes out.

  • sad!!!!!!!

  • when i was little I though this song was from the beatles xD

  • One of the most amazing and beautiful Badfinger recordings from "The Magic Christian " sound track, truly a great album in its own right. Tom and Pete show some gorgeous harmonies and that somewhat frightening and incendiary guitar solo with the heavy drum march by Joey and Mike make this a timeless classic for me.

  • A really beautiful song...an all time fav. Thanks for posting

  • I love this song since I first heard it back in 72 or so... it's interesting they would choose to sit , I can always remember how the acoustic guitar would buzz on a certain note. Personally, i'd rather see a band perform a mediocre live performance than for them to lip-synch. At any rate a great song. I'm glad it found it's way to youtube.

  • That's why we need good people in the business. And they're out there, and you'll find them if you haven't already.

  • No offense to the two band members who met their tragic ends, since I don't know who's who in this performance. The lead singer kept reminding me of Adam Sandler, and the drummer looked like he was either half asleep, or he was high on something like LSD. Good song but weird performance.

  • the best person in the band is the drumer!

look at his style of druming! awesome :)

  • gone too soon. great video. special moment.

  • buenono era de los magic cistian music

  • I've just been transported back 40 years! I loved this album as a kid, but my big bruv took it when he left home to get married. Haven't heard it since about 1975!

  • No doubt this is one of my favorite bands and I love this song, but worth listening to the cover of the band "We All Together "

  • Along with Def Leopard, the tragedies of the music world.

  • playback is one os the stupiedest things ever....I hate musical TV shows for this reason!! look, joey is playing bass, laughing like "this is fucking ridiculous!!!"

  • Love Tommy!

  • Great !!! Eccellente!! Excelente!!!

  • CARRY ON TILL TOMORROW THE BEST

  • good people dont count in business,i saw badfingers life on youtube.its really sad what else would they have done if they were around?

  • I wonder why Joey laughs so much through this song? BTW, his resemblance to Paul McCartney is striking, especially in this video.

  • Good song !! 特に I like guitar and chorus

  • I like this song very much , I am Japanese love music

  • Great Music! Great lyrics!

  • we all together !!!!

  • Great song

  • Thankyou for posting

  • This is just another sad story where such a great band then and had such a future in music, that a money hungary so called manager took from them, and destoryrd them. what harmonies and such a great group. This song and Without YOU shows such talent they had. Love them then, Love them now. There music will live forever, even if there lives were taken way to soon.

  • Joey REALLY looked like McCartney!!! and Pete HAm looked like Lennon

  • sounds just like cs&n!

  • These guys were robbed. My heart breaks for their families. I wish they realized that the pain would go away eventually and that they were needed by their families.

  • Great song, great band, great film (Magic Christian)...

Recorded when they were still the Iveys, with Ron Griffiths on bass (not seen here), after their first LP "Maybe Tomorrow"...

    Lots of Beatles tie-ins here:

Paul McCartney producing, George Martin arranging and Pete Ham playing a Gibson SG guitar that was used on many Beatles sessions from 1965-1968, a gift from George Harrison !

    Such talent, such potential...such tragedy...

    What could have been...

  • I love the lead guitar part! Such a sad tune!

  • nice to hear those english accents.

  • @lympia3 ...except Pete Ham & Mike Gibbin were from Swansea, Wales.

  • My favourite song by one of the most melodic bands ever. Did they ever write a bad song?

  • Tom Evans sure was cute. RIP.

  • .. Clear I do not doubt it .. they are the Original Badfinger - Magic Christian Music .. and the real topic, I have lived with this beautiful musical Carry On Till Tomorrow, my years of child _

But eye to You friends and brothers .. do not get angry for anything but there is an Of Lima Very Peruvian group that they touch and sing it better than they.. *We All Together * this way names and touches and sings it very to the style as debit of being .. Regards

  • @MrTOTTUS "We All Together's" version is more like an attempt at sounding exactly like Badfinger than a cover showing "We All Together's" own style. It is however an excellent imitation, but if you are saying that their redo is better than the original, you're not being realistic. You can't imitate the vocals of Tom Evans or the lead guitar riffs of Pete Ham.

In short, "We All Together" did a "good" job with the song, not a "better" job.

  • I love to hear that teens of today are getting into this sound seriously and not wavering from pressure from others your age to like only new everything and forget all that came before you were born. It makes me and my friends see that all is not lost. Keep digging in deeper SummerDaddysGal and all you kids cranking up classic rock, you are all on the right track choosing not to miss out on real sounds and talent and "thinking" music that's worth loving no matter how old it is!

  • This song was produced and arranged by Paul McCartney along with Rock of All Ages and of course Come and Get It.

  • Nice lipsynching. The biggest hint was the lack of an acoustic guitar on the stage (which incidentally is what is being heard in the audio track that they are lipsynching to).

P.S. It's not 'badFinger', but 'Badfinger' (the emphasis is on the word 'Bad' - not 'Finger').

  • Classic Badfinger : Tommy & Pete singing like angels and Pete ripping it up on guitar. What a great band, great talents.

  • This has been one of those 'sanctuary songs' for me during the past 40 years. This is the first time in years I've heard it. Thanks.

  • I love how Pete rises for his solo!

There is (or was) a longer version of this on YouTube where as the host of the show is asking them their names, Pete is picking invisible bugs out of the hosts hair!

Okay, so mouthing the words is kind of silly, but Joey should have shown respect to his other band mates and done his job. I wonder if he ever thinks about it with regret.

  • @Benayrunyon watch the 6 part documentary on Badfinger on Youtube. You will see that Joey is just a colossal greedy (insert name of Badfinger album here)-hole. He is one dodgy individual& did some extremely nasty things to Tom after Pete's death (stopped Tom touring as Badfinger, wanted royalties for songs that Tom&Pete wrote, was suing him) that helped drive Tom to suicide as well. I have no respect for him.Joey just seems high as a kite most of the time, not professional at all; the others were.

  • @lynnsaoirse Just met Joey last weekend in Chicago. He is still just as high as a kite, but I really think it is natural with him. He is just a great, positive, upbeat guy. His energy is unbelievable for somebody at 64. If he carries any guilt from what he did back in the day, he sure doesn't show it now.

  • i felt in love with this song when i heard the first note!!!

  • Everyone thought this was the Beatles at some point. Carry On

  • This really takes me back. I bought the Magic Christian album when it first came out. Is it my imagination or do I hear shades of Danny Boy here? Listen close if you care to see if I'm right or wrong. Either way this is still a great song.

  • It's interesting the similarity to The Beatles. Joey does mug for the camera like Paul. And the close up of Pete is very Lennon-like. I had the opportunity to chauffeur Joey in the mid 80's during a "Badfinger" nightclub performance in New Orleans. Pete was already gone by that time, and Tom had taken his life as well. Very sad.

  • que linda musica.

  • pro

  • I feel so sad every time when I listen this song. Really tragical they both end their lives in this way. Hope they find happiness in the heaven.

  • Joey, the smug clown as usual.

  • @109ace Joey's doing a bit of macca there...

  • I`m peruvian, and I really like the music of a peruvian music group : We All Together. They used to play this song too, and they did it so well, but nothing compares to the original version. This is the first time I listen to Badfinger`s tune, and is better.

  • i was looking for this song forever don't worry no 1 understands u except yourself u got me i listen to all different types of songs not only a song like this

  • The Peruvian version is much better, according to all critics.

  • As if !

  • This song is so beautiful, and the lyrics are so meaningful. I fell in love with this song when i first heard it in a drama.

I'm hearing current style of songs again and again. It's good that we have those songs to cheer up when we r down.

  • There is a peruvian group they played a bad version of this wonderful song, thanks for posting.

  • i love the magic christian ringo was so cute in this movie. i love this song

  • I love this song very much

  • i like this

  • " we all together" from Peru sound better

  • @iluciones81 true!

  • @iluciones81 true!

  • Joey's a puke. He reminds me of a British version of Billy Ray Cyrus---what could be worse? I love the rest of them with a passion. This is a grim example of the good dying young and doddering old Joey staying around forever to live off their name. Disgusting.

  • My goodeness... shoot!

What a bullXXX. This not a live at all!

It's really sad to see they were forced to do like this! Really want to their real gig!

  • Eztoz son los WE ALL TOGETHER Ingleses jajaja

  • tu estas rayado al decir eso. a mi tambien me gusta la version de we all together mas incluyendo "walking in the rain" pero badfinger eran considerados por un tiempo como los segundos beatles.

  • This song is amazing <3

  • Lipsync or not, this is great song and a great video. One of my favorite bands of all-time. Thanks for posting!

  • thanks for uploading

RIP

  • They say the eyes are the doors to your soul. Tom was such a fragile soul as it was. Pete's death really devastated him. Pete seemed so tortured here. Then there is Joey who is such a cutie pie so Macca lookalike who turned villain and then there was the strongman mike. What a tragedy.

  • if you listen to the Badfinger documentary on Youtube, Mike said that he really loved Pete...that was a partnership of great talent

  • Pete doesn't seem tortured here.... things were young, fresh. I do think he seems aggravated with Joey, mugging at the camera. Business was business for Pete.

  • Aprende Guerrero(WAT) ESTO ES MUSICA, ARTE, BADFINGER MUY BUEN GRUPO, EL RESTO SOLO ES MALA COPIA, IMITACION = WAT.

  • Yhh!!... THIs SoNG makeS me CRY!... la PUedo escuCHAr Muchas Veces.. Y NO M abUrrIRA jaMAs!!...weNIsiiMA!!!!!!

  • Awesome song! My vinyl copy of Magic Christian disappeared, so after viewing this, I'm on a mission to find another copy, vinyl or cd!

Search We all Together of Perú, excelent.

  • They remind me strongly of Simon and Garfunkel in this tune...

  • @erwintommy

Paul McCartney had pressed the producers of the movie "The Magic Christian" to hire Badfinger to provide the soundtrack. After they agreed, Paul specifically instructed Pete and TOm to come up with a song in Simon & Garfunkel's style to go along with the film's early scene in which Sir Guy (Peter Sellers) finds Youngman (Ringo Starr) sleeping rough in a park.

Paul wrote "Come And Get It" for the band and also helped them with the writing of "Rock Of All Ages" for the film.

  • What a nice song

  • Sigh, the only one left is the Lord Of The Deuchebags.

  • every time I listen I want to cry!

  • @kongkong514390 Me too! Tommy Evans was incredible - such a beautiful voice. Joey Molland's ego is sickening. Watching this, and listening to Tommy and Pete makes me sad for such a loss as these two.

  • @kongkong514390 Me too! Tommy Evans was incredible - such a beautiful voice. Watching this, and listening to Tommy and Pete makes me sad for such a loss as these two.

  • Joey never met a camera he didn't like. :-)

  • Buen tema

  • Guy has a proto-morrison look to him.

  • No way to carry on till tomorrow for the core of this group. Too tragic a termination. Too unfair the grave effect that a few business people brought upon Ham & Evans. Badfinger could have had a longer string of success; they were a good group, good people.

  • Bitter sweet indeed. I liked Badfinger back when I was a babyboomer teen; it wasn't until much later that I learned of the serious injustice done with their business side of life. And the tragic ending of the core of this excellent group. No way to carry on. // Thanks Chevy for this vid.

  • it s a classic !

  • Love this album so much....Wish I could find it again...

  • i LOVE them all! Why did they all have to die?? :(

  • the Magic Christian has always been one of my favorite movies! Love this song! Thanks for posting!!!

  • This amazing prog ballad apeared in the opening scenes of the film the magic christian. Ringo play's a homeless tramp.

Come and get it appears at the end of the movie.

  • Just can't get them out of my head!

With their magic voices and beautiful faces...

    such a sweet surrender~!

  • just beautiful :)))))))))

  • It's the album track... so this is probably the best lip synching performance ever. Signing with Apple Records cursed them.

  • Not completely. No one will argue that under Apple they were automatically linked and compared to the Beatles, but that also gave them a lot of exposure. Besides, Harrison's production on Staright Up made it a fantastic album (though he didin't produce it entirely). They performed on Bangladesh Concert with lots of music legends, don't you think that's quite productive for the band? All of that thanks to Apple (and of course, having worked with the fab four). It had some setbacks BUT not a curse

  • Beautiful!

  • Harmonies is right. And this is live? if so, the more amazing. They came out when literally 1000 good bands were putting out music, and in a way got under valued at the time.

  • the best in my life.

  • such intense harmonies.....who produced this song?

  • Paul McCartney produced this one along with Rock Of All Ages , Crimson Ship, and Come And Get It

  • this is my favorite tune by them...thanks for sharing

  • Lo original siempre es mejor... keuina!

  • I am totally with Mr Ificouldsing! I was looking for this song for so long. I have a special memory....I bought this album and listened to it everyday, over and over and over.....day and night.....T'was a song I was listening to when I got the news my mother had passed. I was only 15...

Thank you so much for uploading this song and sharing it with us. THANK YOU!!!!!

  • I listen to many many songs from the 60's and the 70's and this song is got to be one of my favorite. Both the melody and lyrics are so beautiful.

  • La version del grupo We All Together es tan buena como esta.

  • what a beautiful song ... first time of hearing it today and completely in love with it!

  • you need to see the Magic Christian...a great movie.

  • I hope I can find it here in my country (Thailand) then!

  • an amazing share Gary...added to my favs......!!!!

    endless stars !!!!

  • love this song badfinger were faboulous QQQQQ thanks gary f or the share x

  • One of my all time fave bands - Saw Joey Molland last year and he was amazing - Thanks for the share ! Beautuful Song !

  • Such A Beautiful Song!!! 5*s Thank You For Sharing....Anita...

  • awesome!

  • One of favorites all time. Thanks for posting

  • Tom Evans was such a hunk. I had a poster of him in my youth on my wall. His suicide in November 1983 broke my heart!

  • Was this the the B side to No Mater what? I remember this back in 69 but I had the 45 for No Mater what. I was six so I cant remember and the 45 is gone.

  • Yes it was the B side.

  • hi im thirteen... and wow... im usually into the hard rock kinda stuff..but this is an amazing song....... and when im down in the dumps ill always tell myself to carry on till tomorrow! other girls dont understand why i love this song.. but they dont even give it a chance..... they dont listen to it or anything..... CARRY ON TILL TOMORROW!! AND TILL THE END!!!!LONG LIVE BADFINGER!!!!!!!!<3

  • Ditto! Nice choice of music. Badfinger is amazing, and this song definitely proves it.

  • this is a good song, don't care why other don,t like it !!!

  • @SummerDaddysGal for 13 you're really good at typing lol

  • Amazing talent that was so under-appreciated and tragically overlooked. This was my first concert - I was only 9. 40 years later I will see Macca in ATL. WOW 4 decades of music (and honestly, a lot of the current stuff falls quite short of the definition)!

  • Joey, always the clown, strumming the bass and smirking in to the camera....

Great tune, sad ending for the band.

  • anyone knows when was this footage taken in which year? thsi song is really nostalgia for me becuz i always sang it in 1976 but I never knew who was original band singing it! thanks

  • I miss you all! I also miss my youth remembering listening to these AWESOME songs! Happy birthday Tom!!

  • Pete Ham reminds me of John Lennon

  • Makes me cry. What a waste of two talented performers.:(

  • Tom's so handsome!!!!! *fangirl scream*

Anyway.....HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOMMY EVANS! June 5th, 1947, a great musician was born. Would've been 62 today. RIP <3

  • An underated masterpiece of writing and arranging

  • hola

  • these were the days when bands did music out of passion and love, not for money and recognition. badfinger is a band never got a penny, but like a starving artist they pursued their musical career

  • GOD REST ALL YOUR POOR SOULS!!

If only you knew how Wonderful and loved you are all today!!

    love. michelle :)

  • Me gusta mas la version cover de We All Together.

  • What happened was that Pete Ham hung himself in '75 while Tom Evans also hung himself in '83. Apparently Evans had just got off the phone after a heated argument with Joey Molland about some problems the band was having with song royalties or something like that. The following morning he was found dead by hanging. It was all the stress that eventually took its toll on him. But the main reason why he did it was because he never got over the death of his bandmate Pete Ham.
