I remember these. I think they did 3 or 4 of them. I remember this one and the one about the fight scenes being practiced and pre planned. It was like escodl said they did them so kids could understand that it wasn't real. In other words it was to get parents and child interest groups off their back.

My parents hated the show too for no real reason other then they thought it was stupid. That didn't stop me from watching it though.

i think from 93-96 was the fighters era...you had Power Rangers and their clones VR Troopers and Samurai Syber Squad plus games like Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat. You always had pro wrestling on tv and the early days of UFC......

To blame power rangers for kids beating the shit out of each other was stupid, a lot of things factored into it.

Different world now, sorta.....but damn those were the good old days way back when :-)

The biggest thing was of course the Ninja craze, that started out in the 80's and was marketed first of all for adults, slowly as the 90's arrived, the market started aiming lower to younger audiences.

Both of them did. I remember in an interview once, they said that by the second or third season, the costume director just gave them a wad of cash and told them to go buy whatever they wanted. These guys got into their characters really well though. Saw an interview from the PR convention a few years back, and it's like they never stopped.
