@KirbyOnCronic Never enough. I like to have these kind of vids running while I am working myself... I dont think there is enough of these kind of vids. I feel like Ive watched them all so many times. Ive seen plenty on the gnomon workshop, but not so much on youtube in comparison.
how do you blend colors like that? And it's the default brush? If so, how did you switch the opacity suddenly at 0:24? Sorry I ask lots of questions, I'm not experienced with photoshop.
I love how WMG makes copyright claims on songs from artists that have no tie to WMG. Seriously. It's bullshit, and trashing so many good videos...
That said, I'm a huge fan of Mr. Mohrbacher here. His art is absolutely stunning, and his tutorials are incredibly helpful. Bravo, sir, and I hope to see *much* more in the future!
@MrReason09 By holding the alt key you can sample colours directly from the painting and by using flow and opacity controls you get different tones, Easy :).
THANK YOU!!! I've been trying for weeks to get my head around how to get the jist of digital painting and your videos made everything click for me. Keep 'em coming!
If I work with a file that is to be printed 5 feet tall, what should my setting be to save space but still give out quality details? What are the pixels per inch ratio? Anyone knows??? you answer is greatly appreciated.
What program are you using to capture what your doing. What video program is recording you and your movements. I've been thinking about doing some of my own tutorials. Thanks.
Your tuts really help. apparently I've been doing some things the hard way.

wow. i was looking for a super bon bon mix and found your idea of artwork. disney is hiring people with no inspiration who can duplicate other's work if you're interested
I'm guessing you're saying that because you think he's ripping somebody off. You should know that artists commonly LEARN by reproducing successful pieces of art, because any respectable artist NEEDS to know the rules before they can break them.
Too many artists disregard this fact and start producing final pieces of art when they can't even paint basic tangible things. I think Bugmeyer's definitely going in the right direction.
How utterly delicous! Thank you so much for sharing this! I need to use the technique of working from a darker colour much more. Usually I go light-to-dark but that's my real media painting background coming through, I think! Cool song!
i think ur F'in amazing but do u use ur mouse or a tablet ?? becuase im really trying to learn how 2 color and ect. it was the only thing that hindered my chances of getting into art school :'( so thanx for all the tips and please keep posting anything u can
It's almost impossible to get a good color gradient with a mouse. You'll need to sketch & color with a tablet to improve your skills in digital painting ;)
what kind of an art school did you go to? I could hardly use photoshop when I started. A tuni you should learn, they should be concerned with actual drawing ability and skill before worrying about what software you can and cant use!
I must say, the way you used photoshop (or whatever program you were using)to create shading and texture, all through deceptively complex brush strokes is very interesting. I'm surprised that you're not hired and making the big benjamins in a media company.
And speaking of which, did you use a tablet or the mundane mouse for those?

Was this supposed to be a music video? The audio was counterproductive to anyone wishing to learn anything. There's education and there's entertainment and this seems to be confused as to what it wishes to be.
Its to help him improve his own art, He only post it for ppl to watch as entertainment, And if you are smart enought, you can pick up a few tricks and techniques he uses ;)
That sounds like a good idea. Making a video to help you notice your mistakes. What do you use to make your videos? Do you take them with a camera, or do you use some program do record them.

you have to hit and hold the "Alt" key and then u get the color picker tool. works only while u have a brush selected at the start.
