How come every video from Flight Sim 95 all the way up to X and everything in between (and before) has a frame rate of like 8fps?

Has no computer ever been able to handle these sims?... I don't remember such a low frame rate with high quality settings on my modest GPU.

@LanIost It's because it takes a while for hardware to catch up with flight simulator. But if you get a computer with the Core i7 processor, you'll get around 30-100 FPS in the sim with nearly everything on high. Search "FSX core i7" and you'll know what I'm talking about.

Control enter moves you back to the passenger seats and control backspace moves you toward the cockpit. It works on several planes with varying results in graphics, but you have to be in virtual cockpit to do it.

you can also try to hit the "fuel boost" and try to restart the engine. I don't remember if you had to do more than that but it worked for me. i landed where i was supose to land.

i tried to do this

my PC has dual 9600 NVIDA GTs' i am running almost everything on max. but when i get close to a wall on my learjet the wall disapears and it isnt there anymore. is there a video setting i should turn up to make it so walls dont just fade away. my plane grphics are maxed and so is framerate. i do not get any skiping no matter what video setting i turn up.
