  • "You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you." Deuteronomy 4:2

    Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it." Deuteronomy 12:32

    "Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him.

    Do not add to His words, lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar." Proverbs 30:5-6

  • @marsxpander I am glad I burned a NIV book that perverts the deity of Jesus Christ! perverts the virgin birth! perverts John 3:16 into a LIE! robs Jesus Christ of worship! perverts Jesus Christ into Lucifer! removes and perverts the place of hell! perverts The Lord's Prayer into The Devil's Prayer! The NIV completely "TAKETH AWAY" 17 verses! 64,576 words!

  • I burned our 2 NIV's books(some call bibles) in the house and bought 2 new KJV Bibles

  • You know that the NIV is based on older manuscripts than the King James version...

People can be led to Christ through all versions. If you burn them, remember, you will have to answer to God one day.

  • FYI: I'm not too fond of the NIV bible and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. However, Mark 1:2-3 is found in the Prophet Isaiah and Malachi both.

    Isaiah 40:3-4 (NKJV) 3 The voice of one crying in the wilderness: “ Prepare the way of the LORD; Make straight in the desert[a] A highway for our God. 4 Every valley shall be exalted  And every mountain and hill brought low; The crooked places shall be made straight And the rough places smooth;
