  • I have to agree with most of these guys. You didn't quite hit parallel. It is a great gym squat. Not too many guys your size can hit weight like that. If you are claiming to be a powerlifter, then ppl will judge u based on PL rules. Comp rules state your hip must break below or at the knee in order to break "parallel". about an inch or two lower and you are there. Nice power though. keep it up!

  • You obviously have natural talent relative to powerlifting and I bet that you work very hard. However I have a few pointers to extend the life of your knees by a good 20 years or so. Learn to break parallel do not just hit parallel. Stopping at 90 degrees directs tremendous amounts of shear force to your knee joints, force that should be transferred to your hips which are much better suited for that kind of weight. Breaking parallel transfers the load to your hips and keeps your knees safe.
