These movies are just so great the lessons they held (especially Beauty and the Beast, hey now shout out to my fav) we're great, and they make me sing everything I do now!!!
Girls today are missing out on all the things the Disney princess taught the girls of the 90s. Then it was all about following your heart, dreaming, and, okay, finding your own prince charming....but man, today? It's all about body image and being pretty. :(

@missolaniousful I agree with you, there are some very promising shows out there now (especially adventure time, <333). But there just seems to be so much more bad things than good. :c

My favorite parts were all the Jasmine parts because Lea Salonga has such a beautiful voice and jasmine is my second favorite princess, and I also liked the Aurora parts because she is so beautiful and has a great voice. Belle had kind of a nasally voice but it still sounds great. This song is so beautiful makes me want to cry. I'm such a hopeless romantic. Ha ha. Live on Disney Princesses!
That's not the only reason she did it. She wanted to be a human all along, but then she met a guy and it just added to the list of reasons why she wanted to be human. She sings Part of Your World before she ever sees Eric, saying that she wants to be where the people are! To have legs and not fins. I do agree it was not a good way to go about getting what she wanted, but he wasn't the only reason she did it.

Lol, I don't know if a lot of people actually watch it as an adult.. I don't know how it isn't obvious that she wanted to be human throughout the whole movie.. The first time they show her she's in a sunken ship stealing stuff that humans left when they drowned! I can't blame her, I know I'd be tempted to make a supposedly bad deal to get what I want if the chance arose. I'd like to think I wouldn't.. but dunno.

I can't hate her for that, I don't hate her at all. Ariel makes all sorts of mistakes but you feel for her, she's a kid trying to find her place in the world (which reminds me homosexual people who just feel differently and that's OK).
@kawaiiluna99 It might be because her voice actress, Adriana Caselotti, passed away a few years back, and they might not have been able to find a voice actress with a similar sounding voice. I'm not entirely sure, though - it seems like they could have found someone who sounded *somewhat* similar, like they did for Cinderella and Aurora.
i find it kinda funny that mulan is considered a princess by the franchise. unlike the other girls she is neither born a princess nor marries a prince. she's a great role model, that's for sure, but it's like making Meg or Alice a princess. actually, checking out wiki it notes that there are other princesses that no one ever thinks about: Tiger Lily, Princess Eilonwy, and Princess Kida (who is awesome, btw!!). They should get put into the spotlight on occasion too! :)
@starXelfXyeshua sort of. she's the daughter of the chief so that counts with regards to community scale (and she was considered a princess in the 2nd movie.... although anything regarding that movie should be flat-out ignored xD)

She is sooo much prettier in the movie than in these little-girls-play-dressup things, same with Aurora and Cinderella (and the other princesses too a bit)... a second Snow White and the seven Dwarfs film would be cool, or Sleeping Beauty 2..! Actually hun I've got a whole list of reasons why I dislike her.. Idk, maybe she just rubs people wrong considering her art, the prince, and many other things. Tiana has taken over the top spot in my princess lineup.

She's really sassy and independent - I like her for the fact that she's the only Disney princess who's made a big mistake - she sold her soul to Hades to help her ex-boyfriend. I have a bit of a problem with the older princesses. Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, none of them did anything! They just went where life sent them! The more modern princesses, Ariel, Belle, Mulan, Pocahontas, they actually fought for what they wanted.They didn't just accept fate, they dreamed about something more and then went after their dreams. I love all the older princess movies, I just wish their heroines could have been more proactive. Hearts for princesses! Hugs for Disney. :)

Sleeping Beauty is my least favorite because Aurora wasn't really a part in the first half of the movie. First she's a baby, then the three fairies plan how to protect her and take her away into hiding, and then suddenly it's her 16 birthday and she's off picking berries while the fairies plan her birthday surprise. Then she falls asleep and doesn't really show up again until Philip kisses her awake.

@kaikou13 Considering Snow White is just a teen and has a stepmother who wants her DEAD it's not very fair to say she 'makes a mockery of feminism'. What's she supposed to do? Escape? When she did, the queen went looking for her anyway.
Give the poor girl a break. She should be commended for always remaining positive and never giving up on her dreams, even though she was treated like crap her whole life.

Snow White (her mother was the Queen, which means her father was King)

@klc1002 From Hercules!! She wears the purple dress, and she sings the song "I Won't Say I'm in Love." She's really sassy and independent - I like her for the fact that she's the only Disney princess who's made a big mistake - she sold her soul to Hades to help her ex-boyfriend. If you've never heard of her/seen her - look her up singing the song "I Won't Say I'm in Love" - it's a really great song. =)

@WatchedByHim Um, Anastasia was not made by Disney. It was made by Fox. And correct me if I'm wrong but, I believe Snow White was the first Disney Princess, or at least the first animated Disney movie.

I adore Belle, she's beautiful, smart, kind, and falls for what's inside. Unlike the other princess, the first thing that come into their mind is 'wow he's handsome" but Belle wasn't like that. She fell in love with the Beast for his heart. too sweet

I have a bit of a problem with the older princesses. Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, none of them did anything! They just went where life sent them! The more modern princesses, Ariel, Belle, Mulan, Pocahontas, they actually fought for what they wanted.They didn't just accept fate, they dreamed about something more and then went after their dreams. I love all the older princess movies, I just wish their heroines could have been more proactive. Hearts for princesses! Hugs for Disney. :)

8.Aurora Pocahontas is my favorite princess because her story has a great meaning to it and I luv her songs and when I was little I always wanted to be just like her. Snow White and Aurora are my least because I'm not really a big fan of them

Sleeping Beauty is my least favorite because Aurora wasn't really a part in the first half of the movie. First she's a baby, then the three fairies plan how to protect her and take her away into hiding, and then suddenly it's her 16 birthday and she's off picking berries while the fairies plan her birthday surprise. Then she falls asleep and doesn't really show up again until Philip kisses her awake.
