  • Poor thing never gave up!

  • I'll buy that fan for a penny.

  • Did that light automaticly go out or did you break it?

  • Went out after the standard amount of time it stays on for.

  • @mpsslovak oh ok

  • @Linuxmint8 its his garadge door opener.

  • My neighbors have a heritage. I turned it on medium because I was afraid to turn it on high. I pulled the chain and it started to wobble. Upstairs I could hear it hitting the ceiling. It scared me to death.

    Nice video!

  • @mpsslovac Did this fan came with a 3 light-kit too (before you removed it)?

  • Nope, neither of them came with any type of light, I added any light kits to them when I installed them.

  • Thats what I call this Cash for Clunker Celling fans, the fed will give you %40 percent toward your new celling fan, but the new Fan has to be energy effecient :P.

  • Heritage fans make me sick to my stomach. It was great seeing this piece of shit destroyed. I'll sleep well knowing there's one less piece of shit Heritage fan in the world.

  • those blade arms look to thin

  • Whats that squeaking noise in the background sound? just the fan?

  • It was something in the rafters, I'm not sure what.

  • shoulda used a shovel ^_^

  • how is it beyond repair?

  • Well for starters, it's a Heritage, they're beyond repair right out of the box. For another, the closet door in the room it was installed in hit the blades, so the arms were all messed up anyways.

  • i would laugh like hell if that beam where those fans where hanging on would fall down in the progress XD

  • HOW COULD HARM SUCH A NICE FAN???????????????? p.s. how did the garage light shut off?

  • You've gotta be kidding, it was a piece of crap, and was already beyond repair when I reacquired it. The light just goes off by itself after a period of time

  • YOU DARE BRING CHEAPNESS TO MY LAIR? YOU MUST DIE! LOL XD

  • why did u kill the fan cole what did it do to u

  • @thewhoissuperb24 They are cheap scrap metal blade Irons that bend and break easily.

  • Don't hurt fans like that.

  • should of plug it in a 220v outlet..

  • i wouldn't do that to any fan junk or not

  • Dude your Thomas took some abuse. Are you sure it didn't get damaged? -JW

  • Yes, it's fine. After I started I was really mad that I didn't consider removing it to avoid damage, but that little bugger is durable unlike this Her!t@ge.

  • i don,t care how cheap fan is you shouldve gave it away like i do

  • Like I've said before, it was damaged beyond repair before I destroyed it. It was going to be scrap anyway...

  • No, I mean something heavy. Like something REALLY heavy and hard, like a softball. If you have good aim and a good arm, you could do some real damage, while leaving the surrounding fans untouched!

  • Ah, you mean really THROW! something at it. Yes, that could do some damage. I should have put it together on the ground and done something like that. XD

  • Or maybe you could have done something, like hung it up VERY loosely, so that it would fall when hit it with something. Or maybe you could've done something more abusive, like throwing it from a high place, or running it over like EmersonCollie. XD

  • Damn! This may be painful to watch, but it's a good kind of painful. If it were me doing the damage, I'd have mounted the fan away from everything else, and thrown stuff at it. Or maybe I by a 72" downrod and start swinging (oh, the irony).

  • I would've taken the other fans down, but they aren't easy ones to take down. I didn't throw anything because it never does this much damage so I didn't bother. Not to mention it wouldn't do much being so underpowered.

  • Could just as well be plastic irons. :-P It was fun, I love sticking stuff in cheap fans. I did it with a Nutone builder once (needed new brackets) and that was a sight to see!

  • WHAK!!!

    KLING!!!

    BOWOWOWOWOWOW!!!

    KAPOW!!!

    DOINK!!!!

    F-TANG!!!!

Tha'ts what I heard just reading comments. XD

  • That fan is really cheap!

You esily bent the Blade brackets!

    How cheep is that!

    Am I right?

  • Couldn't be more right. :-P This thing was a POS.

  • poor celling fan =(

  • LOL! Wait to give a good beating to a crummy ceiling fan!

  • Did you tried putting shorter bladers on it. That would be intresting to see.

  • Nah, I got rid of the thing already. Well, that's not really the complete truth. I did try to find shorter blades with brackets that fit, but I don't have any of easy access. I have yet to load the video of when I forkfan'd it. =D

  • cheap but not as cheap as todays junk.

  • Yeah, at least they bothered to put cane in the blades at all. =P

  • Can destroy cheap ceiling fan now?

  • Lolz. XD

  • OMG noooo Cole! The only type of fan that I would be abel to do something like that would be an Industrial. Even as much as I hate huggers I would never do that to a wood bladed fan. The cane is so cheap on it almost like a sheet. You should have let it run more to see what it would do with the brackets overbent. Putting shoter blades on it is a good idea just to see what it could do.

  • I'd never do it to an industrial, I love them too much. =D Yeah, the cane is just a sheet of plastic shoved into the blades. You want to see what it does with the brackets overbent, lol? You should see it now, I used some cheap brackets I had that were already bent up and over-pitched them. It doesn't spin fast, but it moves air!

  • Well you take a cheap Industrial like a Westinghouse one of someting like your Menards. The funny thing with Industrial is that you can bent thier blades and then put them back in place without really braking them. They are also good paper cutter.

  • Whoops, I never saw this. That's true, but they'll never be the same after they get bent up. If the motor on the Litex ever dies, I will put the blades on my Gold Line and have some fun. XD

  • noooooooooo i love this hugger ceiling fans noooooooo

love this design of hugger fans

  • Thankfully there are huggers in this design that are much better quality than Heritage.

  • ida used a bat or a pickax

  • That would have been my choice too, but I didn't want to greatly damage the blades as I am going to use them for my outdoor Littleton sometime.

  • ok wow y did u do that exacitly?

  • Because the fan is a POS. If you know anything about Heritage, you know that they aren't worth the effort you put into installing them. Much less the outrageous amount of money they want for a cheapo fan.

  • haha, gotta love the feeling of destruction,5stars

  • LOL I loved it! You should have a video destroying these fans as well:

    1. That Aloha Breeze 42 inch 4 blade 3 light Antique brass garbage

    2. Huntington 3's

    3. All Wal Mart huggers

    Good luck!

  • Why Huntingtons?

  • b/c they're too common, the blades sag, etc.

And they just plain old get on my nerves!

  • I never see any of them, one fan I do want gone are those Hampton Bay Landmarks.

The Hunting tons, just put new brakets on them and they are decent.

  • I'll have to find them for free first. I'm not spending money on that crap just to destroy it. When I find them I will do that.

  • I see, find some off aof a crappy hugger you find in the trash.

  • Comment removed

  • yeah sure ill take the other fan if your ever selling it.

  • Great, I'll let you know in the future if we remove it.

  • Is that the same fan as in this video?

    /watch?v=qkkCaFI4aU0

Also nice collection, I wish I could collect them.

  • Yes, it's the same type of fan, but the one I installed in the other room. I have two.

  • Why you hates Heritage fans? What's so bad about them?

  • You mean besides everything, LOL? The blades are about 2" wide, the cane falls out, the motor is powered by a hamster, the housing is barely a millimeter thick, the mounting is awful, the brackets are cheap, etc.

  • @mpsslovak I knew Heritage was a piece of crap. But now that you mention it, I now think worse about them! lol XD

  • yesssss SCORE,I PUT FORKS ON IT...FORKFAN :oD

  • Great idea. I'll find some forks. You mind if I do and make a video?

  • YESSS PLEASE DO :OD

  • Great. I'm going to go do it right now!

  • what about aloha breeze?

  • Yes, I'd do this to Aloha Breeze, unless it was something I could get some money for.

  • HIT IT HARDER!!!!

Lol great video! I hured a Wal mart out the back door once. ]=D

  • It was seriously exhausting to try to get those bendy brackets to break. As you can see I had to resort to grabbing them and pulling them off myself.

  • Try just twisting them off lol, that will do the trick, then put a giant cap on the thing and watch the motor blow. XD

  • YES! Actually, Jeremy gave me a great idea, I'm going to Forkfan it!

  • Put some 36 inch fan blade and blade arms on it. That is what that motor was desighned for.

  • More like 20" blades. Seriously, the motor in my 29" Liberty/Homestead is bigger than this thing. I should see if my 29" blades fit!

  • I have seen stack motors in small fans like that that are bigger. XD

  • thats too bad about it ( i read the description )

it wasnt a bad looking fan. i think my grandmas friend who lived with her ( she was like family ) had a 30'' heritage i think in her room before replacing it with a 42'' hugger. she died now and thats the only reason i have a soft spot for heritage fans.

  • Well, let me know if you ever want the other one. I wouldn't be able to sell it soon as it's being used, but when/if they move out I could possibly sell it.

  • Poor Thing

  • Yeah, well, I would never do this to any fan of any higher quality than a Heritage. I wouldn't even do it to a Harbor Breeze or Hampton Bay (Other than the Littleton).
