I like the method you use in this video. Very simple to understand, and troubleshoot. On a new car it takes a computer, relays, 50 feet of wire, and 20 connections to perform the same function you did with one switch, 4 connections, and a few feet of wire. I love your simple get er' done ways of teaching.

Great video as always Pete. On a car with a manual transmission the clutch switch operates the same way. Also everyone should be warned that sometimes butcher installers of car alarms and remote starters chop into these connections because they don't have the brains to figure out a (bcm) body control module.  Also sometimes a cheaper safety switch can't handle the amperage of some starter solenoids so a small relay is needed . Must newer cars use a relay injunction with the switch.

@GoodtimesDJsoundtech Thats a good point. Watch for shops that will bypass the switch on purpose to make their stuff work right, and actually put your live or car in danger....
