  • ESPECTACULAR ....!!!!

  • Wikipedia:

The Killers article: The name The Killers comes from the bass drum of a fictional band in the music video for the New Order song "Crystal".[4

    WOW ! Check it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • almost 10 years old, and still ahead of our times.

  • Jouissif ;-)

  • Why did they give one of their best songs such a shit video? This is shocking!

  • Viva Zwei...die gute alte Zeit, in der noch Musikvideos gespielt wurden und nicht nur Reality-Soap-Müll wie heute :(

  • Really good sound, rock music should continue in this direction instead of recycling the beatles

  • perfect

  • First two chords look like Change your Mind ( The Killers) True or not ?

  • @TheAlexKillers nooo.Who is the killers ? New order is too much older than the killers.New order is a band with tradition

  • @caponetobibobi1 New Order had influenced the Killers; they covered Shadowplay for example.

The name Killer is an allusion to this clip

  • @Laicka1992 shadowplay doen't come from Joy Division.. ?

  • *quote* Frontman Brandon Flowers told the Daily Mail December 7, 2007 about the way they decided to cover this song: "We wanted to give the song an emotional uplift. It actually sounds more like New Order than Joy Division."

    So....Yes and no :0

  • @TheAlexKillers you're right. they do sound alike, the reason is: both songs use a form of an F# chord. in the killers "change your mind" dave plays a C-shaped F#major and F#maj7 (when the guitar is tuned in flat) in the new order song, they use some form of a C and F# chord. and the way its strummed, is similar. but, not quite the same.

  • you shock me to the core.....

  • why is everyone hating on the killers? They're an amazing band! Even New Order loves them!

  • really big shit! Vive les Killers faggots!

  • yeah fuck the Killers, has nothing to do with the all amazing New Order!

  • I LOVE IT , I FINALLY FOUND A KOOL SONG WITH MY NAME IN IT!!!!

  • NO KILLERS AT ALL!!!! Fuck off the Killers!

  • Go upgrade? WTF?

  • En perfecto español: ¡COJONUDO!

  • loveeeeeee < 3

  • the singer in the video looks like Zack de la Rocha a bit... :-D

  • I LOVE IT!!!

  • i love this song, but it's depressing that the lead singer can't sing very well anymore, he can't hold his notes very long.. :/

  • what song is the killers video for

  • Look at the band name on the Drum head. :)

  • If you mean the video that was something of an homage/copy of this, "Somebody Told Me" closely mirrored this with the whole light screen in the back.

  • @flatline626

    that is completely true

  • I don't know what to say you don't care anyways

  • Amazing!!!

  • the song is about being like crystal therefore they put these delicate but cool people together to perform this song and ironically gave them the name "the killers"

    how fuckin cool is that

  • pretty fuckin cool ;) lol

  • simply awesome!

  • this is not new order band's in this video ! i think that there are actors , cause new order members were young on the 80's , but there are older now (This video is recent it dates 2001..)

  • They did that on purpose, I think it's suppose to simbolize how the scene kids are taking over new order. What's cool is that the bass drum says the band is called "The Killers." That's where the actual Killers got their name from.

  • who is the young singer on this video ?! New order's members are older than this ..

  • they were young once!

  • he is a model / actor

  • The intro says it all ;)

  • Terrific guitar hook and vocals. I love this track!

  • perfect! :D

  • <33333333333333

  • AMAZING VIDEO. AMAZING SONG.

    WOW. JUST WOW.

    This is art.

  • Can't beat the real Barney and Hooky!

    Manchester rules!

  • ooooo i get it now

  • lol u can see where the killers got the idea for the somebody told me video lol

  • In the edit Johan had to try and edit her out as much as possible. Sometimes he blurred her image. It is too bad. I think his original idea would have worked and added an atypical idea to a music video going beyond the great idea of creating an entirely different image for the bandanother band!

  • i´m like crystal

    nice song

  • So this is the Video that Inspired "the Killers" huh?

    cool

    ^ ^

  • yup! 1:38

  • killers? brandon flowers?

  • for my personal opinion this is the best album of new order :D

  • Is he the singer of new order?

  • no he is an actor(model)

    but sooo cute

  • what's his name??

  • i want to know this too(

  • umm...thats a chick...

her name is Nicolette Krebitz. She's also on the front of the CD removing her pants.

  • no no

im talking about this cute boy who dancing

not about chick on the front of cd

  • The female backup singer was supposed to be the model Nicolette Krebitz but she was not available. Johan proposed an older woman who looked a bit like Nico and could have been one of the boys' mother. Johan suggested building a little flirtation between the keyboard player and the woman. Towards the end of the video shoot, New Order were in London and stopped by. They loved the set and the band, but Bernard had a real problem with the woman. He hated the way she danced.

  • Awesome song... I could see now that the Killers had good ear for music

  • its new order playing it but the whole concept of the film clip was to depict themselves as younger people who are part of a fictional band called 'the killers'.. the killers are 'the perfect band' in the video....then the actual modern day band the killers went- oh wow u no that new order film clip with the fictitious 'perfect' band in it called the killers? well they were meant to be the perfect band so nnow lets call ourselves the killers and then maybe we will be the perfect band!!!

  • well said

  • It's on the CD International. (New Order)

  • sempre achei esse video lindo, lindo e lindo

  • This is how the killers got their name

  • i don't know what to say, you don't care..anyway

love this song for a long time now, just can't get enough

  • i love how the killers even copied this video for somebody told me

  • na not the killers....new order :) it's not even the killers anyway. new order all the way

  • to blackvinyl:

this is the video the killers got their name from ;)

  • The killers??? Yeah right!!

  • This is where The Killers got their name. Wikipedia it.

  • This is my fav New Order track, never fails to elevate my mood. Even the guy miming has more talent than that jumped-up little twirp, Brandon Flowers, from the 'real' Killers, who had to steal a fake bands name, says it all.

  • cool parody? who cares, it's the original sound...thx for posting!

  • and the 25 second slo-mo is incredible!!!!!

  • this new order song, but in clip not new order members..

  • que buena cancion carajo!!!!!

  • ANSWER OF THE KILLERS NAMED

  • Buena cancion, Buen Video!!

  • The fake singer in the video reminds me of Bobby Gillespie from Primal Scream.

Now what if the The Killers covered Crystal? Would they get New Order to mime in the video? Think about it! =)

  • hahaha awesome concept :O or maybe they could have an old 'band' (of actors) called Old Order.. is that a bit too on the nose?

  • la raja!!!

  • They used a buch of younger guys - lip synched ( ? )

    Fantastic song...

  • No but it sounds like them. Wots going on???

  • Hey...that's not New Order...

  • I'm a big fan of The Killers and now I know how they got their name

    And the song is amazing!!!!

  • Awesome! <3 The singer from that mock band is an amazing dancer :P

  • These guys put bands 25 years the junior to shame!! great song!!

  • A great song and one of my favourites!

  • grande musica

  • beatifull x)

  • This is where The Killers got their name.....
