2.27 was awesome. Doing a cobra and rolling/yawing at such low velocity and angle of attack and thats without thrust vectoring. Make MiG-35 with thrust vectoring as a baseline and it'd be a pinnacle of a light fighter design. Those asking for stealth - almost useless on small plane. Why? Recently,in a specialized defence magazine,was said that with the new version of it's Zhuk-E AESA radar,the MiG-35 would have a radar detection range against fighter size - Su-27 type - of 200km in look-down/shoot-down mode. With R-77M ramjet radar,that have 160km range,or the R-27EM Alamo variant,that have 170km kinetic range,or the Zvezda Kh-31P Mod 2,that have in the passive radar anti-AWACS variant 200km range,the MiG-35 deserve be much respected by any foes in the skies.

@LiwamGeebon You don't really need to be faster then 2500km/h. Australia already signed up for 75 JSFs and might get another 25 for both fighter and attack duties with all problems attached. For Australian strategic requirements it needs something with range of a Flanker/F-111

Also its turbofans don't suck at all. 15-20 degree thrust vectoring in any direction from axis.

I even have another idea...India should invite Mikoyan for our MCA(5th gen) project...Their MIG 1.44 (5th gen prototype) is kept in museum for showcase...russian govt is not supporting mikoyan and has forgotten...they have choosen sukhoi for PAK FA...it is right time for us to invite MIG to india...they will be more than happy to give all their know how and we can come up with a best 5th gen fighter...we can have two 5th gen stealth fighters side by side PAK FA and MCA...

there is nothing wrong with mig35,if v can induct mki which is mot stealth fighter so there should b no problem with mig35,it will have zhuk ae35 with 1068 t/r modules radar which will provide comparable range to apg79

I dont think it can happen! The designated engine for 1.44 was to be Saturn AF41! It is now going on PAK-FA! Russia has the required infrastructure like engine companies, radar companies! And fact Russia will merge Mikoyan, Ilyushin, Irkut, Sukhoi, Tupolev, and Yakovlev into one company makes it more difficult

It can be possible...leave the AF 41 engines...atleast we can use the design and the techniques of MIG 1.44...design is the major obstacle...if we invite MIG the design will be readymade, MIGs 5th gen prototype is Delta wing too...all we have to do is to master the avionics and engines...pranab mukherjee has been to Mikoyan in the previous visit to russia...this could happen...

Yeah! The existing MCA design doesn't have tail at all! I don't think we can depend so much on just thrust vectoring! And a big delta wing will make it more unstable! But I dont think the Russians will allow this!

SU 37 vs MIG 35...i dont think there is much difference btw Su 30mki and su 37...except for 3d TVC, some design modification and new engines and radar...MIG 35 is really a good fighter...people underestimate it..even the west is surprised by its Optical locator system(OLS) which is incorporated in MIG 35...its really a killer machine...india should go for it...we can learn a lot from this aircraft including AESA radar which will be given full TOT...

Dont u think Rafale resembles Mirage 2000H too much! Just upgraded avionics and radar! And the EF engine which we r Tejas, was that supposed to have supercruise ????? Su-30MKI could beat Mig-35 Fulcrum-F. As you know Mig-35 Fulcrum is lightweight aircraft just like F-16. As you know Heavyweight fighter like the Su-30MKI always have advantage over lightweight fighter like Mig-35 Fulcrum-F.

well LCA has a lot of stealth characteristics

Stealth is not a single package,it is infact a combination of various factors.

1)having a small size reduces the radar cross section considerably

2)LCA is 45%composite ,reduces radar relections,a metal airframe is a better reflector

3)LCA has the least no. of parts of any fighter in the world,its tail is jointless

joints act as major radar relecting surfaces

4)radar absorbent material

so

LCA has considerable stealth,its a true 4.5 gen fighter

mrca's cant be compared with flankers.

even china dont have good flanker and mrca's,just have some bad copies {offcourse of western product}.
