  • bad freaking ass!

  • your plants are stringy and weak looking, perhaps this is not you true calling.

  • Anyone else like that the video is exactly 4:20 long? :P

  • 

  • No drainage or air for the roots. Some strains might not clone well without gel and some will have a bad success rate.

  • @DanksterZone I been doing this for over 5 years, no gel no holes, believe it or not!

  • 18 to 24 hours a day. So non stop?

  • dude that plant seems stretched and small roots for as tall as it is. why?

  • hey jef have you ever cloned while the plant is in flower,i have a lemon stinky that i wanna clone but its a week into flower, any suggestions are welcome mate!

  • @Bdiddly1 Yes, It an be done. either wait and harvest 99 percent of the plant and with just a few growing nodes left put it into a 24-7 hours of light room, and slowly it will revert, First single bladed leaves, then three then five-bladed leaves; You can clone those, no problem. Keep one as a mom and rebud or dump the mom. You can cut a lower branch off and do the same, it just takes patients. Don't fertilize the clone. Peace, Metal & Buds,

    Jef Tek

  • @JefTekGrowCam -thanx mate,i took na couple y-day&put them in a heated prop under a small cfl,do i leave the air vents open on the prop?

  • u don't use cloning gel?

  • @MrApadirect No. Thanks for the quest..

    Rev Jef Tek

  • @JefTekGrowCam That's a real pro haha thx for answering bro

  • I also am wondering why no holes? Lemme know man!!!

  • you worry me by not having any drainage for your plant......

  • Excellent info! I have tried cloning in a daisy cloner and failed. I did it your way using jiffy pucks. 99% success rate. I put them in Tupperware and left them alone. Rooted out in two weeks.

Also, you have me heart felt condolences. I am in her army and she made me come out of hiding to become more active.

I wish you peace, healing, and love.

  • @Badboy7357 Thanks man

It means a lot to me to be able to make the world a better place for all, like Michelle did. Peace, Mental $ Buds,

    Jef Tek

  • Thanks man every one else made cloning seem like brain surgery I thought if I messed up one step I would fist hump my whole garden

  • could i put 2 clones into a 5 gallon bucket?

  • @364nate NO

  • @timothythegreat1 calm down buddy lol

  • @364nate i was being calm lol, but i would like to reinforce the point that you should never put more than one plant per bucket. they need their space too : D

  • @364nate I have seen very successful grows flowering 4 plants per 5 gallon from clone. As long as you don't veg for too long you will be fine. If you plan on going a bit bigger it may be worth it to put some sort of divider in the middle just to be safe, or there is a product called spin-out that stops the roots from growing to the edge of the bucket so the back ones fill in and use the space more effectively. This is called root pruning, do some research- it is worth it.

  • OH! and if i use superthrive how much should i use???

  • @MegaHayhayhayhay 1 drop per gallon during veg. None during bud! PMB Tek

  • @JefTekGrowCam thanks i was gonna use it during bud! but anyways how long does it take for your roots to come in with the clone's?

  • @MegaHayhayhayhay A week or so...

  • if i top my one month old plant and clone the top will the stem be to thick to clone??? im gonna try anyway but i thought i'd ask!

  • Did you purposely leave some cloning steps out to thin out the competition?

  • @toolshedjunky No; no! I boiled it down to the simplest essence. You can add as many steps as you want, but this method works, week in and week out for 12 years - why make things difficult?

    Peace, Light & Buds,

    Jef Tek

  • Nice work man! I just took some clones from my Northern Lights mother-plant and they've been vegging for only two days, but now I know that they need at least seven days to produce roots. Thanks :)

  • a healthy gene pool is the basis of what allows the plant to root. if you are unsure of your genetics you may want (or need) to ph test/adjust your water, use cloning power or gel, and control the temperature and humidity. using peat pellets and rooting powder has been my favorite way so far. you could also just cut the top 1/3 off of a clear plastic water bottle and throw in some seed starting mix (the kind with no food in it). a 23watt cool white compact florescent on 24/7 and yer good to go.

  • It's good you put people in their place. You're right, everyone is an 'expert'... It's easily forgotten that you're just growing a plant. People act like if you read a book and it tells you to do it certain way, that is the only way it should be done an all other ways are incorrect?! Check out my channel for some great docu's on cannabis! Peace

  • FUCK YEA

  • ok if u say water works then thats wat i will try...hope ur right

  • short simple and easy to do fineally thanks man

  • thanks for the tip! genius bass riff..Everyone make it seem impossible to grow without some "MIRACLE juice" that cost gold! Peace and love ^^,

  • you know stupid...i clicked the link to see your bud not some ass hole play the bass

  • get on eric

  • that plant needs more light it's way too tall for 4 weeks

  • @yggoffoggy Everybody is an expert. It was 4 weeks since transplanted (I meant) thats how AB grows. A more Sativa variety and this would be way too big to bud indoors. You don't need holes if you don't overwater, been doin' it this way for two years. Once I double-watered a bucket, I had to suck the excess with a wet-vac, it was fine 5 days later needed water, no root rot. Sorry to disappoint you.

  • @yggoffoggy

man seriously. 4 weeks? they are super stretchy. that light needs to get so much closer to those babies once they pop from the soil.

  • Your plants need more light. They are way too tall for 4 weeks?

  • great, next time I will try without fertilizer

  • awesome

  • love it man good f*&^ing job i dont use any gel or crap to clone

  • Rock on man! Love the just straight up, easy, no frills style! Very nice!

  • weed always taste better when grown by your self

  • i tried 2 time to clone i used rooting powders with

jiffy pellet nothing i bought some conex last week the clones are still alive but no roots how long till i see any roots??

  • @zmansmoke

Plain water, no fertilizer, not too wet, you should see tiny roots in about a week...

    Jef Tek

  • haha that's awesome brotha, love the soundtrack. The n00b comments are priceless too LOL, love it.

  • @NeverGrowBack noob comments huh? if you only you knew kid!

  • do you ever wonder why your plants look like cocaine addicts? do you give your plant miracle grow or something? your plants are good,if you want to make hemp. you have too much stems and not enough tops. you are going to get a laughable yield in a long period of time! whatever gets you through the day right?

  • @sstx44 Sorry Bro,

You are wrong, wrong wrong. Those plants bulk up nicely thanks to genetics. I get roughly 3 to 5 ounces per plant. Everybody's an expert - you can't tell if there's even trichomes on this video. You can't smell or enjoy the wonderful Afghani Bullrider in it's entirety, so I understand the jealousy. These videos are for inspiration, not degrading comments; get with the program. You too, 14kluis

  • @sstx44 lol I believe that it is called the vegetative stage, there buddy

  • @DextroAddiction um, what the fuck are you trying to say? i know what veg is chump! all of you assholes act like you are the best growers around. man ive seen 13 year olds throw seeds down outside and get eventually get the best weed in town. im starting to see younger and younger kids growing indoor bud too that would shame all of you pricks!. you people arent shit! get off that high horse and eat a dick! common sense equals good weed!

  • @sstx44 lol I'm not the one that's calling people down, man. I am just saying that those Cannabis plants look fine and that I believe they get a solid yield.

  • I say he gets 1oz if that from that fist plant

  • that was crazy, how did you clone those with no root formula

  • @TripleEyedGemini

    It really doesn't matter!

    -Tek

  • oh ya i also got a bottle of superthrive do you recommend using it? and where can i by that try and dome at?

  • How much watering do you do?

  • @wildkev1010 Everyday

  • @JefTekGrowCam i have a plant that is flowering i think about 1 week and half into it. i water it every other day with 1 water bottle it smells good and the buds look bomb but theres not that much yet. you prolly can tell this is my first grow lol. what cheap fertilizer sand enhancers i could buy?

  • that plant likes to strech. yay

  • man this vid helped me so much thank you

  • 4 WEEKS OLD... Mine has been growing for ages and its barely 15 inches tall, what do you think could be going wrong??

Also can you give a break down of what size pots to use from week 1 till harvest??

    Thanks

  • @mazikiblade

1 gal to 5 gal is all I use. Starting out I use Red cups with holes in the bottom, they should last several weeks, then go to 1 gal for three-four weeks and transplant to the 5 gal a week before budding, for best results. If the root ball doesn't come out of its current container cleanly, then it isn't ready.

    Tek

  • How old is this plant from seed?

  • @mazikiblade

    From seed?

Almost a decade for the AB, 6 years for the Current strain!

    Peace

  • @mazikiblade

And.. From when it was cloned about 8 weeks, (I know I said 4 in the video, but it was 4 weeks since transplanted - that's what I meant).

  • you dont use any rooting hormones?

  • @jmurray1106 I do use Dip-N-Grow sometimes. It's not available in Canada, yet! IBA & NAA.

It is not necessary, though, and works fine without it.

    Jeff

  • Hey JefTek, whats up? I was wondering if you have tried using Predatory mites, Phytoseiulus persimilis, to kill spider mites instead of using chemicals and/or sprays like endall, bug be gone and others. I wanted to try something more natural like Predatory mites, but I am stuck in my ways and am afraid to try new things. Thanx for the vids, you rock. peace.

  • jef tek red about him in cc

  • ummm where is the best place to store it like for an example the closet ahha cuz i dont want my mom to find it

  • so all you do to clone is cut a piece of the plant an put it in that thing then just put it in the dome an under the light until you see the roots then transplant easy as that or am i wrong cuz you made it look pretty easy. let me know plz.

  • haha i think ur bass is the same as my first bass

  • nice video

  • nice,,, ur a pro.. ..

  • that was great cuz...people always think it's a must to use enhancers, when u don't need em, KEEP THE NATURAL HERB ALIVE!

  • Prohibition is the gateway not Cannabis,

because of prohibition and because its illegal this means you have access to other more harmful drugs such as MDMA.

lets legalize this plant because its safer than if it was illegal just like Alcohol.

  • Pot's a gateway drug. I smoked it once, next thing I knew, I was blitzed on MDMA.

  • sucks cuz i dont know what MDMA is so i don't know if your against pot or joking.

  • @ekie18 It's a hard drug. I was making fun of the gateway theory

  • why do we put a plastic cover on the top?

  • To keep the humidity high during the first week, with no roots this is how the plants absorb necessary moisture, as roots form the dome is removed...

  • hey jeff do you mist the plants and the dome at all?..and if one is showing roots is it time to take it out?

  • No, the mist occurs naturally with a heat-mat. You don't have to transplant/fertilize until the clone shows growth...

  • cool..ty..

  • @InJustieCompany if you dont use a dome put a humidifier in the room right next to them to moisten the leaves, if you wanna be sweet about it

  • coo video

  • could u explain y u dont have drain holes?

  • hes dumb

  • Our plants have been waiting so long. To be where they're going, in the sunshine of our lungs. sorry couldn't help it.

  • Thanks a lot - great video!

  • Haha... Auto correct is funny sometimes...

I use my SOIL for about 2 years before it goes to the garden...

  • What's up Jeff...

I basically have the same setup as you, but after harvest I remove the root ball, dump out the bucket and break it up. I feel it creates more loom in the soil. I also double up on perlite and add rockwool chunks to my mix.

I also use Sensizym, it breaks down the leftover root mess, my soul is pretty my infinitely reuseable.

  • Awesome comment, thanks!

    You got it, man...

    Peace, Metal & Buds,

    Jef Tek

  • Good looking clones... I can't believe that thing was only 4 weeks old kind of stretchy but looks good!!

  • Once again thanks for the tips Jeff, but I swear YOu always make it look so easy!:)

    Keep Blaze on BuD!:)

    peaceouTy

    TAMMpON

  • so you didnt use starter root at all?....just rockwool and water?

  • Yup, that's all!

  • Noticed the copyright statement @ the end, Have you watched Resolving WGM copyright ? It worked for my vids, splicing one song into another also works for sound tracks for advertising.

  • i need sum weed now

  • ahhh look at all those puney little stems! go get some White Ice stalk thick as my thumb!

  • Yea, yea!

  • sorry to sound like a compete armature but ..."no holes int he bucket?" i thought drainage was VERY important?

  • @AbstraktTV09

Only if you overwater, then you need drainage. The right amount (of water) doesn't need drainage, just experience.

    Thanks,

    Jeff

  • so what about when you need to flush...or flushing out ferts and nutes before harvest? you dont leave all that crap in there do ya?

  • Stop fertilizing two to three weeks before harvest and, trust me when the leaves start turning yellow, the fertilizer will be used up - provided you didn't overfertilize in the first place. Balance, it is all about balance.

    PMB,

    Tek

  • thanks for the info man! hows your current grow going? around how much you pay for your bail of sunshine #4...got a hydro store about 5 miles from here but worried about them being feds or some shit lol!

  • Great video!

  • see how fast, clean and accurate the cut was. Perfect! If you can do it like that, then you don't really need the rooting hormones.

I'm not as confident as Jef so I use root-tech and a heatmat.

  • no holes in bucket

  • yea...no holes??

  • heat mat speeds up growth of roots!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hey Jef, wanna jam?

  • Goodtimes! good to see a fresh vid one day i will post m,y learnings lol

  • you should of gone more in depth of what part of the plant u took clones from, how u prepared cloning gel? what temperature you had the clones in and level of humidity, how long the humidity was that high, did u or did u not spray plants before the intial cloning and about transplanting u should of talked about if u should transplant into the same type of soil, did u let the soil dry a lil before you transplanted just simple things like that would help out people that "just dont understand"

  • Well, stay tuned for part two ya all! I can't cover every single detail in a single 4 minute video. I appreciate the enthusiasms ans all but, really, one thing at a time!

    (know it alls???)

  • All the info you're requesting is available in any basic book on cannabis horticulture...if you can afford to have an internet connection, you can afford to buy a book on horticulture.

  • i dont need any info im just saying that for people that dont know thats all

  • Likewise, my comment applies equally to them.

  • marijuana isnt as hard to grow as everyone seems to make it, lots of little things can be passed by without any negative effect on plants but of course they need good loamy soil, high humidity during veg and around 50% during flowering, a good balance of water to nutrients and of course some sort of light source, either floros or Mh FOR VEG, HPS for flowering. u can use tap water u dont need alot of light during veg to get medium size plants, u dont need the best soil or the best nutrients

  • SUN SHINE #4 IS THE WORST DIRT EVER

  • Yea, because it isn't dirt! Think about it, it is soil less mix! All my nutes come from liquid sources, stay tuned for the next lesson, grasshoppers!!!

  • lol if i said it was dirt i always say dirt for grow medium just a habit

  • those look pretty stretched for 4 week olds, what light were they under?

  • Don't worry about my plants, geez!

  • just curious.

  • Where can one find that type of soil? Is it in retail store?

  • Home De-Pot or any garden center....

  • jeff i liv in connecticut in the us near new york and i havent really looked but never seen sunshine mix in typical stores like walmart or home depot do you have to ask for it?

  • Pro Mix HP is good too, it's outside in a big black oe white 3.8 cu. ft. bale and costs around $30 bucks...

  • WEll i mean will it hurt if you grow in like those 5 dollar bags of soil temporarly?

  • GREAT VID!! KEEP TOKIN' BRO!!!

  • cheers! nice vid thanx Be Well :)

  • Using tap water without knowing what is in it is a VERY bad idea. Use DISTILLED water to be safe. Trust me on this one. Some tap water has high soium content, and will kill your plants in less than a week.

  • I'm just lucky in BC the tap is only 20ppm...

  • Man, you are lucky just to LIVE in BC. I also see that I missed the "D" key in soDium. I need to smoke some good herb soon so my brain will function properly. ;) (and hello to Michelle!)

  • mate your well lucky i live in the south of the uk and the ground around here is really bad, my ppm's are up to 600ppms sometimes but it normaly flashes abetween 400 to 600 ppm's but still way to high, so i got me a 5 stage ro system now she reads nada, zilch, 0 naf all, sweet man every one should have one of these things well good,

    take care jef and mechelle,

ps if your at the cup this year will see ya there i hope, uksheepy

  • if u let the water sit out its usually fine though

  • I actually tried that, but it still hurt the plants. My tap water is realy bad. I will stick with distilled. Better for flushing also.

  • ya that sucks... ive got water thats rated best in the country so....

  • Use R.O. or distilled water if your ppm's are above 20 or 30. I'll go into this deeper in the next episode....

    Jef Tek

  • thjat was in response to mintvagoo

  • Make more videos dude :)

  • exellent info 5* jef tec

  • Oh, he said that. Make some more of these jeftek please. Not everyone knows someone willing to teach this stuff.

  • so you don't flush?

  • Plain water the last three weeks or after hairs just start to turn red...

  • done*

  • wahh dude that plant is gonna be massive once fone

  • My tap is exactly 20 ppm, like how did you know?

590 is too high and so am I.

  • AWSOME gutair!!!!!!!!

  • your gonna need some holes at the bottom of those buckets. drainage is key. you want it to where you can drench the plant with water and all the water can still drain right out of the soil.

  • @ eclecticshaman

Apparently growers who know what they are doing do not over water, i.e. there is no need for drainage.

  • Now please explain to me why you didnt put ant drainage holes in the bottom of your buckets? There are no pros that i know of using that method

  • If you don't overwater there is no need for drains....

  • No drains means no mess and no trays and no trays means no overflowed trays which means you don't flood your downstairs neighbors accidentally....

    Are these pros???

  • Very true but, Drainage allows for extra oxygen intake, And allows for salt and mineral built up to be flushed thru medium and out. Also allows you to water more often because your medium will dry out more even. Trays seems like a better option if you weigh the pros and cons.

  • @thegzspot Drainage is good for growers who over-water, or who give too much fertilizer requiring a flush. If you want root oxygen it's better to learn about substrates and find a suitable mix - drilling holes and flushing is the interim practice until then, but is generally wasteful and obtuse. It's like padding your car in rubber instead of learning to steer.

  • sweet guitar intro 5*'s

  • nice vid!

  • nice to see a video jef
