having just discovered you playing leyenda I m onto your second video. I dont mean to be rude but I had never seen or heard of you before. Oh thanks be to God for youtube because now when ever I need extra special inspiration i can just watch you play. This is a beautiful video and filmed very tastefully. Just perfect for classical guitar. If you are touring the UK I must get to see you as you are a major talent. Yet again your playing is fabulous beyond words. excellent.
I liked a lot your interpretation, very very skillful. I would like to have your guitar, it sounds very very Spaniard. Do you ever came to Canada? I hope so...just let me know when you come.. please. Thank you
I can't stop listening to this piece, you really capture the feel of the original work in a way that I didn't think was possible on the guitar. I'm looking forward to your DVD and I hope you publish this amazing transcription. I will never be able to play it like you do but I will enjoy spending years getting it as close as possible. Bravo!!!!!!
Nice Virginia! I have finally found this piece performed on a guitar on youtube. Thanks for posting. I know this is a very difficult piece. I learned the Parkening version some years back. Hearing your transcription makes me want to go play it again. Thanks!
Thank you. My Prelude arrangement is in the same key as Parkening's, a good friend. I revised the entire piano score, followed note by note, adding essential basses for the bass lines. The most important work was the fingering that made possible the Prelude to be played at that speed and bring out the phrases clearly.
It was a lot of work. Two versions of a wonderful piece.
Your hard work paid paid dividends. If I'm not mistaken, didn't maestro Parkening say that it's the toughest 2 pages in classical guitar literature?I find that Chopin and Mozart are the hardest to transcibe and be faithful to the original. But I get the most satisfaction working on J.S. Bach, as if the LORD's hand is resting on my shoulder. GOD bless you.
Most excellent, meaning as well the musical performance as also (of course) the incredible way you shaped the applicatura of the left hand. I would have thought it impossible to sustain this stretching and ultra-rapid positioning throughout the whole prelude, but ... You Did It !
I will eventually publish. I will let you know in the channel, all right?.
To me this transcription I did was very adventurous because I had to change so many things in terms of fingering in order to be able to make it playable that hasn't been stopped since I started working on it. I can say it has been very
good source of knowledge for me in all this process.
Incredible!!!!!!! Realy I don^t have words after see and listen this. Excuse me my english but..... Tienes una tecnica increible, claridad fenomenal, calidad interpretativa y una precision exacta. Felicidades!!! Congratulations!!!!!! Virginia
I always liked this piece. A friend of mine use to play it for me.Every time i asked him to play it,he took a deep breath. I could tell its a demanding piece.
Here we have another amazing proof of her great quality as a musician, how with this 'transcription for this prelude' (a challenging one on the guitar), she is mastering it virtually with all the possibilities of her guitar by playing her truly personal interpretation of this 'prelude' with enormous
artistic integrity that the pressure of a piece of music like this, demands. Hermosa transcripción, 'intensa y colorida', genial!
Holy smokes ! I dont think this piece has ever been recorded live - or played in concert live. And you can see here why. Great job...this player has an incredible future...and she composes brilliantly as well.
