Definitely one of the greatest intros for the old NWA. Sweet!!! Nikita was a monster. His battles with Magnum T.A. are legendary. Nikita's acting was awesome. I really thought he was Russian back then. He deserves an Oscar or Emmy or something. Never forget when he gave David Crockett the Russian Sickle in that historic interview.

@PeeboTyson Barry Darsow aka Krusher Khruschev was an American who sided with the Russians. The ironoy is that none of them were actually Russian. Ivan was born in Canada and Krusher and Nikita grew up in Minnesota. Ivan and Nikita plaed Russians and did it pretty well.

Wrong, Barry Darsow became Smash of Demolition, then he became Repo Man and then The Blacktop Bully. I would have to say Krusher Khrushev was my favorite Character and then Smash. The irony is the fact the Nikita and Kusher both grew up in Minnesota.

He was from Minnesota. the gimmick is that he defected because he was sick of the American way of life and he wanted to be the best wreslter and powerlfter, and the russian wrestlers/power lifters/ athletes were so superior to the Americans. Nicolai Volkoff showed him this by being stronger than JYD. lol

Definitely one of the greatest intros for the old NWA. Sweet!!! Nikita was a monster. His battles with Magnum T.A. are legendary. Nikita's acting was awesome. I really thought he was Russian back then. He deserves an Oscar or Emmy or something. Never forget when he gave David Crockett the Russian Sickle in that historic interview.

I'm with you on that I thought he was a russian for real as well.The stories i heard he stayed in character most of the time when he was in public as well. Barry Darso/Krusher Krushev said he took nikita to a bank and had to speak for him to cash his check.
