I think the technique the pro's use is with a tool that looks like a small pin almost. I have read about it but never actually seen the pin. Personally I started mine by twisting, then that didnt work for me so I tried the braids really small, but that didnt work either, so finally I did the latching that I saw in NubianLockedPrincess's video
