I still can't believe he got thrown out of the game for that! That was a perfectly clean hit: the puck was right at Havlat's feet, it was a shoulder check, he didn't jump at him (like some of Ovechkin's checks). That was one of the best and most devastating hits I've ever seen and it certainly DID NOT deserve a 5 min. penalty and a game misconduct. It won't matter in the long run though because the Wings will win the series. GO WINGS!!!!
I forgot to add that NONE of the refs had their hand up, which means that none of them were going to call a penalty. They only called it once the Blackhawks fans started booing and complaining. Love how the Wings answered cheap shots with heaps of shots - on goal. Blackhawks got schooled... pretty good team, put up a good game, but once the breaks didn't go their way in officiating they just got outplayed. Period. This hit is beautiful, so Wings missed out on a sweep - big deal. So they called this stupid hit a misconduct and let all kinds of cheap stuff get through. What pisses me off is back to back games with the Wings roughed up by both Ducks and Hawks in the last two rounds.

First..Havlat had the puck under control even it was between his legs but he knew he got the puck and was looking around for someone to pass..and second: kronwall didnt jump on him and it was clean hit...look the video "What is the most brutal game NFL or NHL" i think thats the name..But there you can see many hits like this even more dangerous and terrifying and i dont think they got 5 min + end of the game..Its fucking awful but thats hockey and it was clean! thats my opinion

It was a very unfortunate thing that Havlat was knocked out, but, this is a clean hockey hit. What else is a defenseman supposed to do? I suppose he is expected to let Havlat play the puck up. Ridiculous....Hit was clean otherwise the refs would have caught it right away....he did not leave the ice....Havlat needs to keep his head up....the only reason why it labeled a "dirty hit" is because of the reaction. I still can't believe he got thrown out of the game for that! That was a perfectly clean hit: the puck was right at Havlat's feet, it was a shoulder check, he didn't jump at him (like some of Ovechkin's checks). That was one of the best and most devastating hits I've ever seen and it certainly DID NOT deserve a 5 min. penalty and a game misconduct. It won't matter in the long run though because the Wings will win the series. GO WINGS!!!!

I forgot to add that NONE of the refs had their hand up, which means that none of them were going to call a penalty. They only called it once the Blackhawks fans started booing and complaining. The guy had his head down and got nailed. He should know by now not to do that, so stop complaining and realize that you're only in this series because of the refs and luck.

Intentional? If you're talking about the hit then yes, the hit was intentional. But there was no intent to injure there. It was a clean hit timed perfectly and Havlat had his head down. If Havlat's head was up we wouldn't be talking about this right now, there wouldn't have been a penalty, and the Wings would be up 3-0 in the series. As for the hit to the head, Kronwall MAYBE hit him in the chin. Regardless, Havlat had his head down. The fact that Kronwall only got his chin is pretty impressive.
