At the time, I thought the show was different. Back at the beginning of 5, I was still naive enough to think everything might work out well. I mean, Bette was getting back with Tina, Tasha had left the army for Alice, Helena got out of jail, Jenny's movie was taking off... I didn't expect every relationship/endeavor/career to fail but 2 (bette/tina/NY and helena/kit/planet/hit), murder/suicide, or pregnant men. ROFL. Other than that everyone lost everything and Max gained a baby he didn't want.
