  • Nice job! ;)

  • Not at all, the airbox is sealed and also has a drain just in case. ;-)

  • Arent you afraid of rain/water coming in from the bulkhead? VERY nice car btw ;)

  • The trumpets go through the bulkhead into an airbox, a wheezy old 1.9 8v just wouldn't cut it, not by a long shot!

  • close fit with those tb's! you really could do with a gti 1.9 engine with twin 45 webers ;)

  • No, i'm not stupid enough to put a mount on upside down... the exhaust sounds just fine... not that you can hear it for the induction noise...

  • yup.

  • i hear leaks : )? water?

  • can u bore them 1.6 out bigger?

  • @antonyr123 My friends TU5J4 powered 205 is rebored to 1649cc, you can stroke them to 1.8 but i dont know if thats on the std bore or inc a rebore.

  • @Dave106Rallye

i wanna turbo Mine, But my left engine mount is tilting the engine forwards. Not sure what mount/Bracket to use. My Std VTS one don't need to be grinded but seems to sit the engine badly. The linkages are almost touching the back of the car.

  • @antonyr123 Hmmm.... something doesn't sound right with your engine mounts.

  • @Dave106Rallye me too, The Bracket is from a 1.6 VTR.

as i fitted a R6 Carbed VTR engine first.

The bracket fitted fine but looking at ur engine bay there is huge gap. My manifold is touching my rad almost. And i have a VTS Rad.

all the gear are ruff changing and 4th makes the ball drop. The Gearbox mounts are all Std 1.1. Does the VTS have a bigger gearbox bracket maybe ?

  • @Dave106Rallye

I looked in fourms on 106owners. All there saying is i cant bit a vts mount ( That u grind the peice out to fit the cam cover)

Im gonna need to cut out my whole inner wing and fit a VTS/S2 wing in replament whitch worrys me :(

i'll wait till my looms back from sandy and i'll see if it drives. Driveshafts look ok. But.. o well :( What can i do.

U want me to link u a video of engine and clevence ?

  • @Dave106Rallye

    Pm u video.

  • @Dave106Rallye Yea, The engine is very stiff so i know there pressure on the mounts.

I heard u can fit a 16V engine to a older S1 without cutting out the inner wing and welding a S2 mount in place. Any ideas ?

  • @Dave106Rallye was the gearbox mount upside down making the exuast being a pain in the ass. lol

  • gelous.

My Carbed Rallye still sounds nice tho, Even tho i cant drive it :(

  • thats not a rallye motor its a tu5jp4 out the 106 gti or saxo vts sounds mint wif them throtle bodies :)

  • Its a TU5J4 motor actually. ;-)

  • TU5J4, the TU5JP4 engine is from the 206

  • Lol... I take that as a compliment scott, thanks.

  • Sounds like theres a bike behind the camera and thats doing the reving lol sounds nice whatever it is :p

  • That sounds nice a responsive.
