  • Holy (insert bad word here)! WOW very impressive, how long did it take you do arrange that ?

  • Wawou.. What a beautiful performance ! good job !

  • bloody brill.......keep it up m8!!

  • I have said it before and I will say it again, outstanding. Great job brownieboy.

  • I NEVER get tired of watching and listening to this video!!! EXCELLENT job!!! GREAT talent!!!

  • wow. you are one talented mofo

  • Nice job, I can only imagine how difficult it would be to play this instrument that makes the sounds of different instruments. Thanks for the upload.

  • Very Impressive!!

  • I wish i could play like that...

    Really impressive!

  • Do you still play? Do you compete at all? I used to play before the culture completely dissipated in Australia in the late 90's. It's hard to find anyone that still plays (in the western world that is!)

  • Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant, brilliant.

  • Oh... My... God. This is amazing.. Is this real? Please be real. If this is, dude... U are amazing bro!!!

  • WOW! What can one say to show justice? U N B E L I E V A B L E!!!! Great job!

  • What an amazing performance. Beautifully done.

  • good job

  • Absolutely breath taking.... This piece has always been a favorite to me since I seen the movie.... hope to hear more great music come from you!

  • jesus mary and joseph, the only difference between this and the movie performance is no audience clapping in the end. Fuckin good job man

  • I WANT ELECTONE>>> cant find one anywhere :{

  • can you give us some sheets sir? I got hurge goosebumps just by listening

  • AMAZING!!!!!!

  • This was beautiful! didn't know you can do such a piece of music only by using an electronic organ! I wanted to give a standing ovation, but you couldn't see it anyway and if I did it, my laptop would fall on the ground!

  • INCREIBLEEE.

    I love this song.

I really want to play the piano,

I hope someday I'd can xD

  • you are making me want to take up lessons again :D Thanks for the amazing video!

  • wow.....thats really all i can say....:)

  • It's a long time work to do something like that:) I'm impressed:) I'm working on Korg Triton, Korg M3, Karma and some Rolands old workstations and I have an opportunity to do something like that but i am to lazy..prefer plaing piano:P whatever I think that if I heared your pease and original i would say that the first is playing by another orchestra and that is why it sounds...like the best copy of original i've ever heard. I'd be greatfull to know what instrument it is what you are plaing on.:)

  • Thanks for the comment! It's a Yamaha EL900m Electone. ;)

  • I still feel sooo sorry for you, Dan!

Enjoy Tokyo! The home of the Electone, one could say!

  • Outstanding, simply outstanding.

You are a very gifted artist.

  • Very amazing. Fantastic work. Would you happen to have any midi files or sheets for this piece?

  • Beautiful work. I have heard a better version. Amazing simply amazing

  • TFA.

  • Wow! Just wow!

    Great work brownieboy

  • how this is even possible astounds me. Bravo.

  • Outstanding work brownieboy.

I just read through all the comments and just don't get why some people can't understand how this type of music is "created" on a keyboard. Great job. All the best to you.

  • wow...

  • i didnt get the begginning must be some other music from the movie idk lol but that was pretty amazing lol

  • These covers usually sound so pathetic and amateurish! Yours is superb!!! Congratulations man! You more than do it justice!

  • WHOA!!! That's so great! Go on tour!

  • Holy shit. That was amazing. You are a one man orchestra, dude.

  • When I was learning the electone 20 yrs ago, we were always told "the electronic organ is not JUST an organ - it is evolving into a one-man orchestra"

And brownieboy1988 - I don't know about other organ companies, but your 'American Symphony' and 'Wintergames' performances have just are a clear example that Yamaha - and th Electone - have proved that point beyond all doubt!

Would be great to see post a few more performances in the near future ....

  • well done!

  • Fantastic. Amazing. Fantastic again.

  • WOW I didn't know that was possible with only 2 hands! Excellent excellent keyboarding

  • he´s not using only his hands hes using his legs an feet. there are pedals that make harmonics...

  • oh yeah, I see that now

  • Pedals that make harmonics? Could you explain that?

  • He's also got some of it as a MIDI file. Look at the floppy drive on the right hand side of the keyboard in front. The access light is on. (Probably the percussion tracks)

  • Yes the percussion accompaniment has been pre-programmed as a sequence... as the

accompaniment plays the registration combinations have been programmed to change in the correct places in the score, that way i have my hands and legs free to play the song!! However, i am still playing the music live!

  • it's not actually a midi file however the disk is used to store the registration and drum sequence data which then is loaded before i start playing. so yes, you're right it's used for the percussion tracks. all the music is played live

  • wow, man....incredible :)

  • that was beautiful.

  • Wow... just... wow...

  • holy shit, this owns!!

  • LONG LIVE ELECTONE! GREAT JOB MAN!

  • very good!

  • Simply perfection sir, goosebumping perfection.

  • exemplary, absolutely magnificent.

  • Man, I was BLOWN AWAY! Impressive....simply impressive. 5 out 5 all the way!

  • Wow, very well done!

  • holy crap this is sweet!

  • well done!!

  • That is fucking badass...

  • Dude, you are my hero! You did that musical score justice - beautiful music to such a beautiful movie. it's amazing that one person can play all of those instruments. You truly have a gift. Will you please post more? Rock on!

  • wow, that is really amazing that one person can play all that with that instrument. i have never seen anything like that before... incredible!

  • WOW! You might be my new hero...

  • Where did you get the sheetmusic to that?!?!?! AMAZING!

  • Never heard 'American Symphony' before but really enjoyed the way you play it on the electone. Please post more videos.

  • If I'm getting goosebumps listening to it without the best quality of sound, imagine what it would be like in the same room.... Very well done, dude. Seriously. Goosebumps.

  • I wanna get one of them there organs, bloody amazing mate !!!

  • lol 1 Key to produce numerous melodies?

Ok I will agree that when playing one key it may feed through notes an octave or higher hence to create harmony. If you want to hear songs where no pre-registrations have been done I will gladly record one for you. P.S It is an instrument like all others, and all instruments are "great for people just learning to play", but you do realise this is an organ ;)

  • True that, "double decker keyboard" with pedals.

  • wow does it REALLY matter? i mean fuck, i dont think the fate of the world balances on wether he gets the name of the instrument right.

  • LOL @ bck122179. Man, I seriously wish fools like him did some research before they start criticising things they have obviously no idea about.

Btw nice playing brownie, is this from the Cinema books Popular 5~3?? I want to get that book because it has the theme from Summer in it, maybe you can send it to me. ;) Or the sheet music for this song too pls? :D Im grade 6 atm and needa prepare for next years exams.

  • Oh fuck off bck122179. I play in a symphony orchestra, and having just recently played that very piece of music, I can say that this is a slice of fried gold. Hats off to brownieboy for a fucking good job.

  • Excuse me!? There is NO original playing here. The only "pre-recorded" bit here is the percussion that has been sequenced. ALL the instruments are being played by me, if you want i can send you my electone score and registrations, i assure you this is me playing. Take a look at other electone videos on youtube and you will see how lifelike the sounds are that the electone can reproduce. Verify your sources before you go commenting on something you obviously have no idea about.

  • I can agree on this one, Brownieboy! I have this very score and I am working on this one on my EL-90. If you don't play any keys or pedals, you wouldn't hear anything but the rythm.

Did you get your D-Deck by the way?

  • @brownieboy1988

    Awesome work brother.

  • @brownieboy1988 On Defense of Brownieboy1988, He Actually did this himself. reason 1. Keyboard esp. this one are capable of things like that. 2.@ 3:22 when brownie does the mini guitar solo from the original composition by Michael Keemen, it sound Kind of like a guitar and a few notes missed. 3. at the very end, the last 3 notes, brownieboy only paused for note 1 to note 2 and 3 for two seconds. in the original comp that last note there is a pause for 4 seconds before the last 2 notes come in.

  • @brownieboy1988 but this was Amazing ! i am very very impressed ! sounds just like the orig comp !!!

  • I had my daughter listen to this video without looking at it and asked her how many pieces were in this symphony. She said 30 or 40. She freaked out when she saw 1 guy at the keyboard. That was amazing. Next stop: America's Got Talent!

  • FUCKING AMAZING!

  • That's pretty impressive man. Good job!

  • I love your emotion in this. Great work. Very well played.

  • Its very good. Not exactly like from the movie, which I was hoping to find a clip of somewhere on here, but its still very good.

  • I hate this piece so much.

You did it well, though. :-D

  • why do you hate it? it is one of the best songs ever!!

  • Unbelieveable. God has blessed you with talent.

  • holy crap! way to go!

  • Incredible.... I loved it!

  • I must say you have all of the parts perfect! And your hand placements and carriage movements were top notch! I believe Michael Kamen would have been very proud of you if he could see how your playing has done his symphony justice!

  • WoW!!!!!!

  • Whoa...

One of my favourite pieces of music and you pulled it off amazingly!

    ...I hate you...

  • WOW! That's Awesome man

  • that was literally amazing, others will be seeing you soon im sure

  • This is amazing! I wish I could play like that!

  • Did you get my recent email regarding my question about this piece?

I would really appreciate a response if you have time.

  • ... speechless ...

    BRAVO!

  • That was absolutely wonderful! You are a great player. That machine looks like it can do a lot.

  • pianist and e piano the best

  • that was great...fantastic! ive heard your winter games..is it okay if you can send me sheet music for wnter games? thanks... if its ok with you.. i really would like to play winter games but i dont have any sheet music for that and arrangement same as yours...

  • Wow. That's was pretty damn good. The band I just played that in really could have used you. That's was A1.

  • This is great, You are the only one that I have found on you tube to be able to play with feeling

  • Good job!

Hope you can post some videos you playing your D-Deck after you get it? Did you get the package which has pedals?

  • HOLY FUCK. That was awesome. You're fantastic, KEEP IT UP!

  • Hey brownieboy, that's a great piece of work! I heard your "Winter" last year and really looking forward to hear more of your master piece! Keep up your superb performance!! P/s: pls show your face to the fans out there :)

  • that's great

  • have my children??????? please???????

  • hey if i can just... play on your piano you can have sex with my mom. please.

  • dude.. that piano is like. a miracle

  • WOW you do total justice to "An American Syphony". You have interpreted this piece better than any other performance I've EVER HEARD ! Keep it up. I would love to hear some Bach organ works by you.O Please would you post more of your recitals. You would definately shred them!

  • WOW that was excellent-- thank you for sharing !

to think when I was teaching electronic music 27 years ago next month a t a summer camp we were excited by having instruments that could play three notes at once- we have come a long way baby! and to quote prove that famous quote from "Fame" about elctronic instruments wrong-- that really was music not masturbation!

  • someone should put this incredible movie on youtube.

  • holy shit!!!! that was fucking amazing!!

  • Whoa! I'm in wub!

  • YOU SIR are AMAZING... Thank you for that...

  • I can't believe how much like the real thing that sounds. It's also awesome that one person is playing what a whole bunch of people played originally.

  • I'm freaking AMAZED that the keyboard was able to sound that much like a real symphony. (The performer wasn't too shabby either)

  • FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!

That is one of my absolute favorite movie themes in history, and I'm glad I made a Youtube search for it. I was in the mood of hearing it!!!!

And you did it justice!! And what a keyboard that is, too!

    Great job!

  • I gotta say that is one beasty instrument! Great job! I'd really like to learn that song!

  • I saw this movie yesterday! I loved it! I love the ending. Great song!

  • Well done mate. You are an exellent performer. The EL900m sure has a great sound. IT would be great to see more performances from you. Keep them coming :)

  • The El900m was built in 2000. It was the compacted version on the ELX-1m stage model. i.e. it is the ELX-1m in the El900 casing! And yes, it is the predecessor of the STAGEA series Electone.

  • When was the Electone 900m built? It looks like a predecessor of the so called STAGEA.

  • AMAZING!!!

  • I love that movie and I gotta say, you've got it just right! Is there any chance of you posting the sheet music for that anywhere? I'd love to take a stab at it...

  • 5/5 ! it's great!
