This one verse written by the prophet Isaiah tells us that the earth has a shperical shape. It doesn't stop there though, it also tells us that the universe is expanding.

The truth is that the Bible doesn't once mention the Earth's age. It was just figured by people, much like radiometric dating Earth, but those people had nothing to go on but begats in an old, poorly translated text. I'd be more apt to believe it's over 4 billion, at least there's actual evidence.

The Bible doesn't say the earth is flat! What is that guy talking about?! The Bible, in the Psalms, actually describes the creation, sun, moon, stars etc, accurately even before man knew the nature of the universe.... supporting the divine nature of the Bible.
And if the earth was 4.5 billion years old, and we evolved that would mean that death was happening before Adam and Eve, before sin came into the picture.. and that doesn't work.
Why can't we just take what the word says as true?

The bible doesn't say "we have to be good to go to heaven." In fact it says that we cannot be good enough to go to heaven, no matter what we do, and the only way there is to accept that jesus really died to pay for our sins. If that story isn't meant to be taken literally, then what's the purpose of jesus?

Beginning with Galileo and Copernicus over 400 years ago to Geologists 200 years ago to modern geneticists mapping DNA. There are just too many examples to even begin to list. Please don't forget that there are two kinds of death. Physical death, and 2nd death. The 'death' Genesis is describing is 2nd death, or having the soul separated from God. The idea that nothing physically died before the 'fall' -- (meaning t-rexes in the garden) is not compatible with reality.

Im interested to know how you came to that determination. evolution correlates with the exact order of the book of Genesis. When god says he created the world in 6 days and the 7th he rested it clearly says that a day for good is 1000s of years and 1000s of can be a 1 year for humans. (sorry for inaccuracy). The only part that does no correlate to the genesis is how the woman is made, and if you think about it is the only creation that god describes deeply how he created. If he sais it will be and so it was. It could have been evolution.

The people below must seem to him like grasshoppers! He is the one whom spreads out the heavens like a curtain and makes his tent from them". This one verse written by the prophet Isaiah tells us that the earth has a shperical shape. It doesn't stop there though, it also tells us that the universe is expanding.

The truth is that the Bible doesn't once mention the Earth's age. And that the Earth and light was created before the rest of the universe, including the sun (where the light actually comes from). The Bible is wrong on all counts of geology and cosmology. Ever count.

@kazooga1234 the only 2 things in the bible that refer to the shape of the actual earth, is one place it refers to the 'four corners' or the earth- but this is taken from a more ancient saying, and since the 'whole earth' at the time was only known to be the middle eastern/african land masses. people thought the oceans ran off the edge, but there reference to corners meant the 4 corners of the 'known' land. the other place, it states' heaven above and hell below. ill let you figure that out...

In fact it says that we cannot be good enough to go to heaven, no matter what we do, and the only way there is to accept that jesus really died to pay for our sins. If that story isn't meant to be taken literally, then what's the purpose of jesus?

evolution correlates with the exact order of the book of Genesis. When god says he created the world in 6 days and the 7th he rested it clearly says that a day for good is 1000s of years and 1000s of can be a 1 year for humans. (sorry for inaccuracy). The only part that does no correlate to the genesis is how the woman is made, and if you think about it is the only creation that god describes deeply how he created. If he sais it will be and so it was. It could have been evolution.

Because most Christians missed that part.
