  • vai al diavolo

  • @YawaraMarco succhiami il cazzo figlio di puttana!

Words are fun! Go away troll

  • I.... DUDDIT!

  • Well i finished the book two days ago and then i saw the movie the same night :)

I must say that i was realy disapointed! The book was amazing-excelent-fantastic!

The movie though? At the begining everything was ok with Hole in the wall,Mc Carthy etc.No lights in the sky though,no paranormal, when the adventure came in no chasings, not that bad Kurtz as the book said,no Perlmutter, no Freddy. No Mr Gray in the hospital and not the real ending. The end was soooo bad.

  • @BlueFoundatlon Yeah, I heard that the ending of the book was obviously far superior to the end of the movie, tho I don't know any specifics of the "real ending." You're right, the movie started off strong, with an air of mystery that King does so well. And then it all just falls apart into an incoherent mess of a generic sci-fi movie that felt like a bad X-Files episode. I also heard that Kurtz in the book was a fucking madman. They hinted at it in the movie, but I heard hes waaaaaaay worse

  • @DanSheaMovieReviews Wayyyyyyy way worse!!!The ending made me so sad!In the book Duddits died in the Humvee cause of his illness! But in the movie he was the one who killed Mr.Gray (who was real and not just Jonesy's imagination!) by turning himself into...an alien!A good one though! Also for someone who hasn't read the book, they might find it hard to understand the movie and the real consept! That's why i prefer reading the book first and after watching the movie based on it! :)

  • @BlueFoundatlon No I understand the concept I think. I'm a little fuzzy, but it was really just about the bonds of friendship that hold people together and the powers that they have are all supposed to be based around the type of person that they are. I'm not really too sure so feel free to correct me. In all fairness, I'm just not into reading. I always found reading boring to tell you the truth. I always preferred movies over books. In and out in a few hours, I'm set! I'm a movie guy is all :)

  • @DanSheaMovieReviews You got the conspept right indeed :) its how about Duddits,a kid with special abilities has something more! Its not the outside we see,in the inside he is more clever than everyone else and in fact he was the one who was playing with the guys and not the guys playing with him!He gave them these "powers" in order to thank them i believe. Not sure though :) feel free to ask anything!I'll try to explain and thanks for the conversation!

  • @BlueFoundatlon I don't get it. How was that concept so hard to get on film? Why did they scrap all of that in favor of making just another flat sci-fi movie? If they did this right, hell, it could have ended up like a mix of Aliens and Stand By Me (read: FUCKING AWESOME!!!) I didn't even read the book and I GET THE CONCEPT!? What were they thinking? Take that story and this admittedly great ensemble cast, and they really could of had a winner here. Ahh well at least I was able to make fun of it

  • All this story and "thing" about Duds touched me so much.I would cry everytime ive been reading the book. The story was excelent and one of the best books ive ever read.

  • @BlueFoundatlon I've heard the book is great (not one of King's best, but pretty good on its own) but I've never read it so I can't say for sure. I'm guessing they left A LOT out in the movie tho, cuz Duddits, and really everyone else for that matter, was very underdeveloped. Like about 85-90% of King adaptations, this was just a really bad, uneven movie

  • @DanSheaMovieReviews Exactly!Id love to see more about the telepathy and the bond they got together. How Duddits realy made them this way,id love to see stuff from their childhood or Jonessy and Mr.Gray.

  • @BlueFoundatlon Agreed. In the movie it come so far out of left field. At one point, it's just like "oh, by the way guys, we have super powers... awesome" I think King knew what he was doing when he took his name off of this project. If you can't do it right, then why do it at all? He knew right away that Dreamcatcher couldn't be told in a 2 hour movie. However, if it were a miniseries with a better director (Frank Darabont comes to mind, he knows how to do King) it MIGHT be a different story.

  • 2:53 I was thinking, "What the hell?" 3:18-3:19 Funny, I thought they were having sex too.

  • yer damien lewis is english :s are you freaking retarded???? like even do homework on this movie???? still funny though...

  • @indiekidslie93 I know full well that he's an Englishman. Its just kinda odd that, in the context of the movie itself, he is an American doing a hokey sounding English accent. Its strange to see an Englishman doing an American accent doing an English accent. Sorry, but don't call me an idiot just because the joke went over your head. Don't take this seriously, just have fun. That's all I ask

  • Wow, you really are a sarcastic bastard aren't you?

  • @leapoffaith20 ummmmm...... your point is....... what exactly?

  • Nice review, but Hugh Laurie who portrays doctor House IS british. So his accent is not fake, nor bad, but genuine.

  • @martianmanhunter37 I was just referring to how overdone Damian Lewis' accent was and the fact that, like Hugh Lourie, he is in fact an Englishman doing an American accent (not to mention the limp and scruffy facial hair). Although its kinda strange that, when you think about it, later in the movie Damian is an Englishman doing an American accent doing an English accent.... this movie hurts my head...

  • I never understood whether or not eh friggen aliens were evil or not. If they're trying to invade why the hell are all but one of them sitting around their ship waiting to get shot?

  • @Laz321 Good point. And its also never explained how Duddits came to Earth or how he even knows Mr. Gray. Actually, A LOT of this movie kinda just happens with no real explanation. I think we can just chalk it up to plot holes. Never read the book, but from what I understand, there aren't many answers there either. What more would/should you expect tho when you write a book while you're high off your ass with painkillers, right? Plot holes (more like plot canyons here) tend to happen that way

  • @DanSheaMovieReviews Haha yah, I've only really been able to get through half the book. The first half was great with the suspense building up over the sick hunter that Jonesy almost shoots. After that it kind of dissolves into one long wtf!? moment. The general in charge says that they've been dealing with these aliens the same way for 60 years and they already knew about the shit weasels and fungus, so clearly people have died because of them before. Its almost like King justifies killing them

  • @Laz321 And another thing. I also could never figure out if the aliens were invading or just crashed. Think about it. the ship seems to have crash landed and Mr. Gray seems to be the only one causing ANY real trouble. Maybe he rigged the ship so it would crash and this plan is all his doing. If that's true, then the already crazy military is just jumping to conclusion by attacking them even tho they pose no real threat. I mean, its not like the military has ever done that right?... oh wait... :P

  • @DanSheaMovieReviews I enjoyed the movie considerably more than your review. I understand your "plot hole" theory, but I see it as a "fill in the blank" yourself. Most fans know the basic concepts surrounding sci-fi. Having to think during a movie is not a bad thing. If you watch the scenes with Duddits mother, it's not to hard to figure out how he got here, though it wasn't spelled out. Then it's even easier to understand how he knows about "Mr. Gray". It's your choice to dislike the movie

  • I admit I really liked this movie, but this review had me rolling. Great job.

  • @OwMyHip That's the kind of comment that I like to see :) I love it when people with open minds leave comments like yours instead of the standard troll stuff like "I loved this movie, I hate you!" Youtube is in DESPERATE need of people like you. Thanks

  • I really liked the movie. It's not the awesome CGI movie, but specific scenes captive great concepts. The last confrontation between both aliens is truly amazing. The movie is fitted more towards the Independent category.

  • 2:04, what episode is that?

  • @Joecbg100 That was from an episode called "Red Hot Catholic Love" from season 6. Its the one where Father Maxi goes to Rome to talk about child molesters and Cartman craps from his mouth. lol its a classic

  • @DanSheaMovieReviews Thanks, keep it up, you kinda remind me of the Nostalgia Critic, one of my favs. Also a little pf Cyrus from Spill.com.

  • @Joecbg100 will do! and btw, I too am a huge NC fan. He (as well as other TGWTG peeps) inspired me to get started doing these. So thanks for the complement. I made these reviews with tgwtg fans as my key demographic, so if I can make one happy...... hmmmm

  • @DanSheaMovieReviews Keep it up man and keep on pushing...or more or less. :) You listen to Spill. com?

  • @Joecbg100 LMAO spill is great! I really like their review style. the animation is awesome. my favorite review from them is probably the one they did for Vampires Suck. lol so funny.

*shows clip with unfunny joke* .................. Fuck you.

    That always got me laughing

  • @DanSheaMovieReviews I'm seriously considering taking up Korey's offer for a hit on the 2 frauds, I need the money badly.

  • 2:04, what episode is that?

  • Man, your reviews are so jokes!

  • lol i got too pee that was unexpected....

  • How does shit like this get made, seriously, HOW

  • @wildone106 I wish I could tell you man, I wish I could... lol

  • your funny but a complete jackass that wa sa awsome movie

  • @thegunmaster212 ummm thanks........ I guess. Its all in good fun tho man, I'm not trying to hurt anybody :P

  • I think King should suffer another accident for selling the movie rights to his book. I bought the DVD of this film, cause it says "audio commentary" on the backcover and I wanted to hear the filmmakers' apology for this alien turd of a film. Guess what? There was no commentary! What the fuck.

  • @Deavi783 lol that's kinda lame. Do you at least feel bad for actually forking over honest cash for this movie in retrospect? You probably should feel a tad dirty :)

  • Hahahaha this is a fantastic review!! You should definitely use this as a demo for any kind of gig like this, you're good!

  • I loved the book, to be perfectly honest. I was kind of ticked that the gun-phone wasn't as funny as it was in the book. This movie is indeed crap, but the book was absolutely amazing, imo.

  • Good God this movie was horrible. King wrote the book (which isn't much better) right after he was hit by the van, while he was doped up on painkillers... and it shows. Good review.

  • @benway20 Never actually read the book. I hear the movie, however, couldn't be MORE different. Such as Duddits was never an alien, correct me if I'm wrong. I guess the people behind this movie didn't read it either, so I guess I don't feel too bad.

  • LOL i gotta pee that took the cake bravo

  • @omarqutob16 hehe thanks, I'm actually kinda proud of that myself lol. Such a piss-poor line in the movie (pun so defiantly intended)

  • @DanSheaMovieReviews castle rock entertainment- castle rock book series by stephen king (The Dead Zone, Cujo, The Tommyknockers, The Dark Half, The Body, and The Sun Dog) i recomend The Dark Half to you!!..it's creepy to picture what *spoiler* is doing to his *spoiler...NOT THAT YOU SICK BASTARD!!!*

  • @rpggguy I saw The Dark Half long ago, but sadly I hardly remember it. Its been too long is all. I remember really liking it tho. I don't know about you, but my personal favorite King movie is Misery. I FUCKING LOVE MISERY. Kathy Bates is absolutely amazing in that movie. Oscar WELL deserved imo. Movies don't really tend to scare me much (if at all) but she was terrifying! the fact that she could snap any second really has you on edge. She really freaked me out when I was a kid.

  • @DanSheaMovieReviews i agree kathy bates nailed tht role IMO . The book was also great. and you remind me of the nostalja critic. possible influence?

  • @batmanalienpred OF COURSE! lol sorry I had too :) Anyway, ya hes a big influence of mine and the fact that someone (yes even a random youtuber such as yourself) would put me in the same league as him then I feel like I've done SOMETHING right. Check out my other stuff. Hope you like it. I need all the fans I can get :P

  • @DanSheaMovieReviews watched this and your casino royale review. subscribed :) make sure to keep up the great work! its hard to notice some of the shitty movies being made these days, but its ok ,because BOOMER WILL LIVE!

  • @batmanalienpred BOOMER IS THE SHIT. He dolphin punches big-lipped alligators left and right..... uhhhh.... Chuck Norris..... People who are out of the loop will read this and think I'm crazy, but I don't care.

  • @DanSheaMovieReviews if we dont mention this again, can it be considered a big lipped aligator moment to those outve the loop?
