  • I prefer the March Hare in the Disney version, where he was voiced by Jerry Colonna, to this March Hare. However, I will give this version credit because it's closer to the book and it is pretty funny. This March Hare looks scary, though his personality is growing on me.

  • Screw Depp, Martin Short is the only Hatter for me! He is like Sir John Tenniel's illustration brought to life!

  • SPARKLE MISS! SPARKLE!

  • I simply adore this film. One of the best adaptions out there!

  • bbooooiing

  • my response to that i both profound and meaningful GET A LIFE.

    (pretty wizard)

  • Is there any sense in nonsense? Reason in rhyme? Method to madness? Or our we all mad? watch?v=Iq8cBojjfQY

  • I love this scene above all, and for a 1999 movie, the graphics are stunning!

  • @CorporalShephard666 a movie from 1950's can have blu ray definition, the 30mm films were great.

  • "We'll paint it red, and call it Fred, or Ned, Or Teeeeaeeeeeaeeeeeed."

  • @TuttieFruiti1 My response to that is both profound and meaningful. Get your hair cut.

  • 'Why is a raven like a writing desk?'

Well, they both had quills, and Poe wrote on both.

  • @er10b And they both produce notes, but they're all flat.

  • @er10b I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR THE ANSWER FOR SO LONG. THANK YOU!!!

  • Martin Short pwns so much ass. Best hatter EVER, for sure.

  • @LyfeDenied Agreed - i love 'auntie's wooden leg' best random song ever

And the way the March Hare pulls out a banjo still has me in stitches!

  • This Hare is super annoying.

  • @antiquecans69 The Hare is supposed to be annoying. In fact, the entire Hatter scene is supposed to be annoying. So, Im sure the people behind the Hare appreciate your compliment.

  • this is great =) much better than the new movie, more depth in everything love it!

  • if i ever meet Martin Short in person i am going to tell him how fantastic he was as the Mad Hatter

  • 5:47 Hatters got talent winner lol "The Hatter!!"

  • martin short is the best mad hatter ever, he is the spitting image of the book.

  • I would prefer an American Mc gee's Alice movie than the Tim Burton's..

I was hoping for sth more unique and dark from him!!!

  • 4:13 was the funniest part of this whole thing

  • Who's the hatter played by? Reminds me of hugh laurie

  • Very few people notice that Alice never introduced herself, but the Mad Hatter said, "I'm asking Alice".

  • @dustypork Yeah I noticed that myself as well. Curious how people can pass such movie mistakes by in the final film, don't you think?

  • This is the weirdest thing that I've ever seen, and the lighting hurts my eyes.

  • Versions of Alice in wonderland that I want: this version, the 1985 version, and Tim burtons version, I have the the disney version. Who likes what here?

  • @THEXBOX360NERD1

I like it. But we're all entitle to our opinions.

  • Versions of Alice in Wonderland that I want. This version, the 1985 version, and Tim Burton's version. I have disney's version. Who here likes which version?

  • what exactly is the name of this movie? i cant find it anywhere?

  • @lalarawr14 Alice in Wonderland 1999 verson by Nick Willing.

  • If only Helena Bonham Carter, and Alan Rickman were their respective roles in this film. Then, this film would be impossible to trump.

  • I think this is my favorite Mad Hatter out of every incarnation.

  • @Flaylexfayte We know Quierta...

  • Best adaption. Martin Short is the best Mad Hatter.

  • This is perhaps the best adoption of Caroll's story. I love how most of the characters, and especially Mad Hatter & March Hare, look almost exactly like Tenniel's illustrations. Beautiful movie.

  • Clean Cups!

  • this is my favorite version Alice In Wonderland

  • 小さい頃に見たことある!超懐かしい!

  • THE LAUGH IS HILARIOUS

  • how accurate is this movie adaptation to the novel, (not including the songs obviously)?

  • @sicilia90 Pretty accurate, actually. It kinda mashes "Wonderland" and "Through the looking glass" but it's still very faithful. It's my favourite adaption.

  • @PsychedelicDiamond It's faithful to both in their respective parts, and there really isn't any way to get out of using the tweedles, ever since Disney included them in its animated movie.

  • 3:47 !

  • WAY BETTER THAN JONNY DEPP

  • This is my favorite version! Martin Short is the best! It's the second closest version to the book.

  • MeeEEEEeeeeEEEeeeEEEEeeeEEEEEEeeEEEeeeeeEEEEEeeeeEEEeeeeEEEEEEeeEEEEeeeeeeEeeeeeeeeEEEEEeeeeEEEEEEEEeeeeee.....

    lol! :P

  • "The Mad Hatter Syndrome. The term "mad as a hatter" will forever be linked to the madcap milliner in Lewis Carroll's classic children's book, Alice in Wonderland. But few actually know that the true origin of the saying relates to a disease peculiar to the hat making industry in the 1800s. A mercury solution was commonly used during the process of turning fur into felt, which caused the hatters to breathe in the fumes of this highly toxic metal.-Accumulation of mercury in the workers' bodies.

  • @G36n

Only a few really knew that? Weird, everyone I've ever asked where that term came from knew the answer.

  • @Ishimaru14

i took the text form some internet site, cause no one here has explained :)

Plus this is world problem not English or american or some other's.

I bet many people you know have dental amalgam(50% mercury),i know i have three,(today i'm taking first one out haha),the mercury pollution in the sea and therefore the more predatory the fish you eat, the more mercury it has...

    so i mean no harm,or disrespect,only to inform :)

    Cheers!

  • The dance the Hatter did at the beginning of Auntie's Wooden Leg looked like the inspiration of the Futterwacken dance in the last film.

  • The dance the Hatter did at the beginning of Auntie's Wooden Leg looked like the inspiration of the Futterwacken dance in the recent film.

  • Johny Depp was way better xD

  • @checkero0

  • "HE'S MURDERING THE TUNE, OFF WITH HIS HEAD!"

    haha :)

  • Ok, so I'm making a mad hatter hat like the one seen in this wonderful film. I already have the brim that belongs to a sumbrero my dad got a while back. So I took some poster board and made a cylender out of it. Then I took cardboard and made a circle about 7 inches bigger than the top of the cylinder. Now I'm wondering if there is a type of material like the straw hat to fit from the cardboard circle to the bottom of the cylinder. Unless I use a grass skirt, I don't know what to do. Help???

  • The best version of "The Mad Tea Party".

  • @thesurpriseshow More like, "The best version of "Alice in Wonderland" :)
