Has anyone in the industry ever said what that little insert song is at 1:09? And if it'll ever be released thru Disney/etc.? It has lyrics like, "wasurete, drivin', drivin'." The music that comes on as soon as Mater says, "I gotta change my slogan."

I've heard mixed answers about it. Like it's a Korean song sung by Chae Yeon, or it's a little diddy done just for this Cars short and has no name. Or that Disney won't release it for some reason.

Yup! You are correct, in "Tokyo Mater" Lightning doesn't get hurt at all. In fact, he helps Mater out of a couple of tough spots. :)

The sign at 0:25 says ハリ-ハウセン, which translates approximately to Harry Hausen or Housen, or something like that. Anyone have an idea as to what that means? Is it another Pixar reference?

Yup. Its a reference to Monsters Inc. Because Harry Hausen's was the name of the restaurant in Monsters Inc, (it was named after Ray Harryhausen; a pioneer of stop-motion animation) and when Mater comes out of that building, you can see the car versions of Mike and Sully (just like in the end credits for Cars.) :)

Well, "Tokyo Mater" is currently playing in theaters before Bolt. After that, it is really not known if the short will ever air on television.
