  • SLOW DOWN LEMONETTE! WATCH OUT!!

  • Hey Yall Its Lemonette and geuss i im a real douche

  • it's kidna easy to get out of a speeding ticket. i got one and i went to court and i told the judge that the cop was confused and pulled over the wrong car. XD

  • why do you always film in your car? just wondering

  • SLOW DOWN LEMONETTE!!!!

  • My first and so far only ticket was for going 67 in a 55 and it cost me 189.00!

  • I gave you a 5 star because you're sweet and funny. I know if you would have had that camera on... You would have let him have it. Don't ever change cause I really like your style. I agree with you I think a policeman giving you a ticket should at least smile... "Why don't you knock it down to 59" I love it! Thanks for sharing your story. You are an Awesome and Blessed Girl. Thanks! Much Love. ~Andree'

  • Lemonette bless your heart. Only you could spin an eight-four dollar ticket into a blessing. LOL Good to see you vlogging. We missed you and Gary at the Georgia get together this weekend. We'll have to do it again soon and you'll just have to be there! -Jim

  • Lemonette! You are so awsome! You

remind me of my entire family! I LOVE

    LEMONS TOO!

  • Driving home one morning two cars sped past me in the opposite lane. Then a cop came speeding along behind them. I chuckled thinking someone is getting busted! I then see the cop u-turn and pull up behind me! He was arrogant and rude and said I was speeding! I told him there was NO WAY I was speeding because I was watching my spedometer. I ended up with my first speeding ticket and it was for $250. I requested a hearing. I work nightshift and ended up falling asleep and missing the hearing!

  • The 200 dollar part cracked me up.

  • Here in NY calibration of the radar is the first defense we use when defending a speeder. It has worked a LOT, so now they are more diligent about it. The small towns were getting tickets dismissed because it has not been calibrated in years! Sorry he caught you!! Take care!

  • Hi Lemonette, thanks for posting this video. The darkness was OK. It added to the reality. I think I could sense the dusk changing into night. Your voice was featured. Your genuineness is compelling.

    glad to know you. Joni

  • i write tickets often. i try to be happy and sometimes people take it as being mean or trying to laugh at them in thier time of trouble. you can't win. be safe lemonette, we need you. you keep us laughing.

  • Lanette he is supposed to ask you about the radar detection device. Radar doesn't hold up in court. Only Laser. I can only speak for GA tho. And I can say that he is dry because he dealt with the scum of the earth right before pulling you over. Now grant you they need to be nice but I'm just telling you why they are in such a bad mood all the time. They get treated like shit and get paid nothing. If only they did a show about normal cops. peopel would see.

    Great video!

  • Lemonette you are definately not dry. I love your vids.

  • That's what ya'll call a "DAMMIT" ticket. :) Cause all ya'll go "DAMMIT!!" when you get pulled over.

As far as the fighting the radar gun, People do that here in PHX all the time. "The cameras are off." For those that don't know, we have speed cameras set up.

At least you'rs was only $84, mine was $181 for doing 76 in a 65 (Technically it was a construction zone so it should have been doubled, but who am I to complain??)

Funny thingh I got a check from the state for $182 a day before.

  • Its hard to slow down after speeding on the highway and to slow down in town is such a pain. I have never gotten a speeding ticket. Aaaaaah No! lol

We called the number on my son's ticket -- they told us the ticket was and old print and the updated amount to pay is $150. 00. I'm like then stop using the old tickets or we should be able to pay the old cost that is on the ticket. I'm glad it wasn't 200. 00

  • Oy vey. The thing is HANDS FREE. Did you not see the two lemonette hands on the wheel? I'll tell you what, please don't you think while you drive, or WE'LL all get hurt. Okie dokie? Just keep your eyes to the front and don't let anything distract you.

  • ;-) I love you... I dont comment much, but just a note to let you know that myself and many others im sure, surely enjoy listening to you speak. Im going to forward this to my brother and his wife who are police officers. I think you would like my brother.. Hes always smiling even when working....

  • I'm sorry about your ticket but, ya know, we all get 'em sooner or later - the only way to avoid that is not to drive, lol.

Enjoyable as always - sorry I haven't been around in ages - busy moving and moving again! Hope all is well with you!

  • Getting an $84 speeding ticket is "some kinda blessing?" lol I like your attitude. :-P

  • I have had much better luck with not getting tickets now that the police have almost completely stopped picking on us cabbies...

Those radar guns are cash cows :)

  • Can´t happen to me. Got no car or driver´s license. But I have been stopped by police a few years ago, around 1:30 in the morning, walking home from a pub, where I have been as a DJ.

  • I got one for going 60 in a 35 but there was no mph sign around for miles but the cop said i should know it with out the signs around, what crap. I was ticketed 180 dollars for it.

  • I got a ticket also! 70 in a 55. lol. 150.00!!

  • Sorry to hear you got a ticket. Like you said the good thing was he lowered the speed for you- cause you were nice and polite I'm sure!

I am lucky, I have managed to only get warnings when I got pulled over, they must have been in good moods.

  • I saw an cop run a red light without the flashers. What is up with that? isn't that weird? I wish another cop would have saw that and pulled him over that would have been funny.

  • So you saw a policeman waiting the other day...I saw a police car stop at the red light, I was on the opposite side, but I kept going!!!!!!!!! Feel better?

  • you should definitely question the radar! the fact that he bumped it down to 61 from 66 means that he probably knows the device is only accurate within +/- 5mph when calibrated correctly and used properly. enough questioning (and therefore enough uncertainty added into the accuracy) can come close to putting the error range within the speed limit. even if it's still a ticket, it's a lower fine and fewer points.

  • damnit i don't even get the pleasure of saying "i told ya so" lol cause i never told ya

slow down!! you are already DUIOYT ... thats driving under the influence of youtube for slow ones :)

  • On the 4th of July :) One got me too On the way home form TX I thought I was on a 70mph hwy Somehow got of track an ended up on a 60mph highway I was doing the 76 :O He was very nice bout it an gave me a ticket for under what I was doing So no points on me This was my

1st speeding ticket ever. Do not tell anyone OK . I have not even told my kids. I was wrong I was speeding. Darn gun it!!!LOL Oh mine was pricy $161.00 (ouch)& I had to wait bout 2 weeks or so to pay it.

    Hugs coming your way

  • man that sucks! here the ticket says right on it if you were going 0-9 mph over it's this fee, 10-14 this fee, etc. at least that's how it was when i last got a ticket. i've been lucky. 1st ticket at 22, 2nd at 44. i guess i have til i'm 66 before i get the next one ;)

  • Lemonette! I just want to say Thank You! For making videos and being you! Seriously, I sincerely enjoy watching your videos.

  • I had a HP pull me every Saturday night for a month as I was leaving work. The last time he pulled me he walked up to the car and go OH ITS YOU terns around and leaves...mikma was here

  • lol

  • Is there an offence of driving under the influence of a video camera yet? :)

  • I have somewhat of a lead foot myself. I have gotten more than 1 speeding ticket and my husband got one about 4 months ago. I hope that they will only give me warning. Never happens. Ticket!

  • continued: After the officer finished writing the ticket to my husband, in my frustration, I got out of the car, looked at the officer and said, 'I just want you to know, officer, that you just made our DAY! I went into a short spiel of all the ill luck we have been through (son's heart attack, blah, blah, blah), got back in the car and we left; the officer's mouth hanging. I took a chance, but I was so frustrated at the situation, I couldn't help myself.

  • It's hard to from say fast road like an interstate 70 miles here to slow down (they all go 85 plus bout run me over). I do slow down but still in drive mode. It's hard to go from 70 to 40 in a New York minute or anything like that. Hubby and I know the pain too well of losing a good job. Hugs to you and hubby.

  • even as you are vlogging right now people are still passing you! LOL!

  • I got pulled over several weeks ago after I got my new car. I was pulled over for doing 45 in a 35 and I told the police officer that I just bought the car and that I was still getting used to it and that was the truth. I traded in my 2004 Nissan Sentra for a 2009 Hyundai Accent that was a little smaller. He did not give me a ticket but did give me a warning on it so I have been really careful about the speed on the new car

  • Lemonette, hehe I always said the same thing about everything I get stopped for. That its going to cost me at least 100 dollars.. then I always added in the nice assumed fee of $100 for no seatbelt. :O

  • Was that cop a bankwalker?

  • lol. Most cops are pretty 'dry' when they're working. You would be too :P

  • Officer, I would be ever so kindly obliged to have you recalibrate that so it makes it look like I was not speeding *smile smile*

Oooh at least he knocked off the speed, that was nice of him. I would have bought him a donut, for sure.

Yey for $84 vs. $200. See you in a month and a half!

  • Imagine that officer saying, "Hey! Why it's Lemonette! Lucky me!"

  • I have gotten one speeding ticket when I was 18 and I cried in front of the cop. When I was 25 I was pulled for going 60 in a 45 and had my son in the car and stayed calm and the cop let me go.

  • Wow, it's good it wasn't as bad as you expected, but I'm still sorry you got caught. Tonight it looks as though everyone is passing you by!

  • Oooh, Lanette...you're a hardened criminal, now...I thought you were headed for the BIG HOUSE....

    :-)

  • Even as you admit you drive too fast, a truck still passes you.

  • if you care, you may have said your last name toward the end of the video... i would care, but some people don't

  • OMG, Lemonette, only 84 bucks? It's over $200 here if you get caught smoking in your car! And there's one thang I know for sure: In traffic court, if you're there, you're guilty, hunny. Oh I'm starting to luv the South!

  • Eighty four bucks? They must know who you are Lem. Don't mess with Lem. Eighty four dollars is what I spend for Chinese take out for my mooching friends. But now I'm kind of feeling sorry for Lem's hungry mooching buddies, who are more than likely closely related. That much money is good for many pounds of refried rice and a couple dozen eggrolls. Guess what's on my mind? Right, Civil Justice for Lem. Go Lem Go. Love you Lem. On my mind? What's a mind?

  • Haha my physics teacher pulled that - they hadn't calibrated the gun in 2 weeks, so he got off. They are supposed to calibrate the gun every day, as humidity and temperature can affect the results.

  • haha, i love how u put outlaw and lawbreaker in your tags. ;) youre such a rebel lemonette. lol.

  • I love your down to earth videos! Sorry to hear about your husband losing his job. Times are truly tough everywhere. I send your a big HELLO from Southern California.

  • BLess you. Missed ya. Speeding tickets SUCK

  • Nice to see ya leadfoot. lol

  • *LOL*

  • how ya doing

  • I understand you totally. Mine was 100.00 and I was 5 miles over 50 in a 45. and I was going up hill in a 4 cylinder OMG I can't get it to move but hey they need my money. I personnally feel like I am supporting the community..LOL God love Millersville Tn POLICE they need our money

  • I have been telling you for threeeeeee years to slow down!! lol

  • I always knew you were a REBEL! Hehehe ;-)

  • you are so coollllll lemonette

  • (((( Lemonette )))) Great vlog! LOL at 'I could run out of gas, and it would end up costing me $200.00'. Sounds like my car too! :-D

  • Much Love ...Travis

  • Well, God bless ya darlin....Glad it was only $84!! Love you, Ang

  • : )

  • HAHA Lead foot eh'..

Oh I wish you had the camera hehe.

  • I still love you even if you are a criminal.

  • I got one for going 82 in a 65! Ouch!!

  • You're a funny lady!

  • Missed you.

  • i got a ticket on bike trail .......yes they put speed limit on the trail .......

  • Dang did he not know who you were? Guess he does not Youtube!!!

  • You're not driving too fast in this video. People were passing you like you were sitting still!

  • At least that's a bronze medal =)

  • Lemonette...

I hope you didn't say "thank you" when the officer handed you the ticket? I got one speeding ticket about 20 years ago. Yes, I was speeding; and I knew I was speeding; but I was late for an early morning dentist appointment. The police officer asked me where I was going in such a hurry, and I told him. He did his thing, wrote me the ticket and handed it to me; BUT I sure the heck wasn't going to be polite and say "thank you"... Grrrrr!!!

  • Oh Lanette, you are such a speed demon! I am the same way...anything under 20 km over the speed limit and it just seems too slow. I have slowed down since last I was pulled over.

  • i got a $300 dollar parking ticket the first day i drove my car couldent see it was a disabled parking slot.

  • I am so with ya on the drivin to fast...I do all the time. My ticket I got awhile back was $159....uggg. And he didnt even ask me if I want to have him recalibrate his shit...what is up with that. Nice seeing ya lady. Cant wait to see ya at ST3.

  • I like using my cruise control too.

    unless I am in a rush..lol

    **Kisses**

  • Speeding, you?? No way! LOL

  • LOL...I can't say I told ya so, because I didn't, however.... are you gonna drive that fast to South Tube? LOL

I'm glad it wasn't over 200 like my last ticket. ugh, it's been forever though.

    84 not a bad ticket...yay for you!

    see ya in October!

    mike

  • No! Not a speeding ticket! I will not say "I told ya so"...cuz I never thought you drove too fast. It could have been worse for sure. Good to see you...drive safely. ;) -Doug

  • That's actually true, Lemonette. Just as machines fail and need repair at any job or a car or even an a/c unit....things wear down. Items like speed detectors can be calibrated LONG out of date. If it's found that the radar was faulty, malfunctioning or out of date then you're off the hook.

  • What a bargain! At least you weren't like the idiots here in Florida that get in shouting matches.
