  • Playing my PS Vita now. :D

  • nice review! thanks!

    Won't be buyting this though

i've got the psp 2000 which is good

im gonna buy the vita now...

  • I really really want one of these, considering I already have a 3000 and Go. but I'm in the US, and I can't find a bloody import ANYWHERE.

  • FUCK! Great review.

  • wow this is the most retarded thing i have ever seen. back in 2009 i got a PSP-1000 for just £30

  • FlyingcockatieI00 no it doesn't

  • Does the memory stick slot have a kind of cover like psp 2000??

  • monster hunter is so kool its like pokemon on steroids

  • if this had wifi, i'd buy it in a heartbeat. the design is everything I wanted from the 3000, but fixed (UMD/Battery Slot, Touch Pad Interface, Matte Black All over) It's priced nicely though for having no internet though. I'd probably snatch up one of these before a Vita. Then again, They still don't sell these E1000's in the US & Canada, so North America can't play our games on a UK or PAL one. fuck.

  • i have a 3000 with 6.20 Pro-B10 :D

  • when is it coming out for canada?

  • monster hunter love (^ ^)

  • wow, this is the first time i've seen this..it will be an interesting part to my collection...lol sony still making old psp models even when the Vita was being released..

  • @DiabolicDNA its only available on the east side of the world. as explained

  • @DiabolicDNA Ya, I just found out about these to. I know that they suck (no wifi) but I still want one just to have it. I have a 1000, 2000, and a ps vita (3G model), but this just looks cool! I can't find one being sold in the US though.

  • Heyoo

Uno the pink psp i ahd tht in white yh

And.. which psp is the pink one called ? Is it called psp base , psp 3000

    Plz andwer bck

  • @Cena786ish the pink one is 1000 phat.

  • lol, u can get full CFW thru LCFW

  • @MrAlexsblog full custom firmware (permanent/doesn't need re-activating after being turned off) does not work on the e-1000 or some other versions iirc. LCFW is the same, just requires re-activating after being turned off completely (which takes about 10 seconds anyway)

  • This has to be the most hideous PSP incarnation I've seen. The 2000 & 3000s were gorgeous!

(the 1000s are OK too!) If you want a budget PSP, get a pre-loved PSP 1000 or 2000!

  • @Jaliya48 personal preference really - i totally prefer the industrial/matte look of the e-1000

  • Hey good review where do you get the games from pleasee tell me thamks

  • @Anes2508 if hacked then a quick search on google will bring up multiple websites

  • have it wlan?

  • @MrMarth242 no wireless capability I'm afraid

  • So this is just for Europe? Does any one know of a way i could get my hands on one in America? It'd be really good for my son as a Birthday present.

  • @MrDaniel1d PAL at the moment, but tbh it'll likely be available worldwide after the vita launch, as a UK resident I don't know where you would be able to buy one in the US but ebay may be a good start

  • @jonvmagic thanks brother

  • Is there a cap for the memory stick socket???

  • @ManousakisG7 no... i know its a dick move

  • @ManousakisG7 unfortunately not, but then again neither does the DS and I never had any issues with that

  • So i cant play socom fire team bravo 3 online ohhh shame

  • so what should i do? buy this E1004 or get a used 3004?

i need a console for next 1-2 years. bot don't want to spend too much.

ps : no plan for PS vita.until it gets some awesome exclusives for me

  • Comment removed

  • @himanshu17292 get a used 3004. You can't really hack a 3004, but that's up to you!

  • @Jaliya48 i have heard that 3004 suffers from interlacing issues :O

  • @himanshu17292 neh, from what i've read it's actually the 3000 that suffers from the interlacing/tearing issues - the e-1000 doesn't... although you can see in the video the viewing angles are not ideal

  • @jonvmagic viewing angles are fine for me as long as i can install any cfw

  • @himanshu17292 that's true, in that case a 2000 is your best bet. If you're lucky, you'll find a TA085V1 or V2 board 2000 console. These are probably the best of both worlds (OFW & CFW!)

I've got a TA085V2 PSP 2001 & a PSP 1003. The 1003 has CFW while the 2001 has OFW! The best part? Both were broken & destined for scrap but I fixed them up.

  • @Jaliya48 thanks. i will try to get a used 2000. or else will go for E1004

  • @Jaliya48 the 3004 can use light custom firmware the same as the e-1000, and I'd agree that the 3000 psps are prob the "best" versions for a lot of people if you can find them cheap

  • @jonvmagic or a 2000 or 1000.

My personal favourite is the PSP2000 in Ice Silver!

  • @himanshu17292 your best bet might be going to a CEX/game store and simply comparing the 3004/e-1004 to see what suits you. The 3000 model is decent but will be more expensive

  • Really good comparison but if you dont mind, can you make a in-game comparison please?

  • @123forz what sort of ingame comparison? tbh the games are being loaded from memory card rather than UMD so I doubt there will be a loading time difference... and an iphone camera can't really pick up any major differences in screen quality

  • I cant use my psp street gud og the charger, anyone knows hos i kan get a danish charger?

  • are you a girl because the pink psp or what

  • @neo145119

Or maybe he just likes pink?

I have a lilac PSP, and I'm certainly not a girl.

  • @neo145119 ...as explained in the video, no... no I'm not

  • @neo145119 You deaf or what? lol

  • @neo145119 you dumbass it's h'es girlfriend (chek out 1:07 to 1:15

  • does it only play psp essentials games???

  • @SSTheGamer98 it plays any PSP game unless that game specifically requires online functionality

  • 12/12 12:12

  • lool do not judge me

  • street has no wifi the only reason im not getting a psp vita is pro c cfw tht will make ad hoc games online not kai or ps3 :D

  • Finally a good review

  • @TZamBAL thanks!

  • vamos yo estoy esperando el psp e1000 para latinoamerca :(

  • is this the last "psp" model or is there gunna be a psp e2000

  • @1djbossking with the vita coming out this month I doubt there will be another psp

  • @alekjosuecastillo Three words: Keep. The. 3000.

  • can u take the battery out of that thing?

  • @PinkPantherPunk not that I can see, may be a way to unscrew the back but it's not obvious - it's likely an attempt to stop the "pandora battery" issue

  • What memory card do you need for you to save games?

  • @123Midget321 Memory Stick PRO Duo

  • does this only play PAL format games?

  • @frozenintears I "think" all psp models are region free, same as the vita

  • @jonvmagic It is.

  • @jonvmagic the speaker on the 1000 is on the bottom where the serial number is.i don't hear any sound coming out of the ones on the front.

  • @holdencommstra the speaker should definitely be on the front, it may be some sound leakage from the bottom of your unit

  • @jonvmagic correct all handheld consoles are region free

  • @jonvmagic it doesn't really metter to me but i was interested , but otherwise im not jusing it

  • @zikazivac94 from the eurogamer review it seems it's similar to the psp2000 screen

  • thanks for this your the only one talking on it here.shame they did,nt lower the price not worth 90 pounds.i would stick with a second hand psp 1000 for 50

  • i still find in HMV in london seling all ver of psp's 1000 2000 3000 and the go

  • @xRedx0 nice! been to a few HMVs around me, most of them don't even sell the PSP or games anymore now the vita's coming out

  • @jonvmagic very, very professional for your first vid :)

  • @mw1808 thank you!

  • @xROBOTICZz Depends whether you're looking to use wifi to either play multiplayer games or download directly from the play station store, if not then I'd say the e1000 is a good deal and it would also be new! :-D

  • @jonvmagic yeah im just looking for it to play games when i have nothing to do and thanks i just couldnt decide lol

  • @TheConnor79 No... There's no multiplayer capability on this machine... If that's a deal breaker then the psp3000 is the version for you

  • this would be my first psp if i got it but i could also get a 3000 second hand for the same price so im not sure what i sould get?

  • @xROBOTICZz i have the exacly same problem .... :/

  • do you can play multiplayer without wifi , when someone sitting next to you

  • It's good for emulators, homebrew games and apps, you can download free iso/cso games

  • this seems like a good buy my psp broke and i it was my favorite and held device before and after CFW.

  • Comment removed

  • @prendanski Save for the vita, they'll likely release some of the older, decent psp games on the play station store anyway as the vita has an inbuilt psp emulator

  • @jonvmagic alright thx man ...

  • @SM97MIAH Constructive comment dude ;-) frankly with the vita being the new multimedia powerhouse having a cheaper version of the psp, even if it does lack wifi (and I agree, that's not ideal) is a pretty good way to delve into the decent psp back catalogue

  • @DaPlaystationBroHood devices don't cost the same in the us as here in the uk - £80 for an e-1000 or around £130/£140 for a 3000 (and that's if you can find one anywhere) the speaker doesn't matter... You don't notice anyway, and personally I prefer the matte finish, as does anyone I've shown it to compare to the original... The deciding factor is whether you want wifi/the price

  • sony fucked up from stoping this hack stuff wtf! they also fuck up on the psp to

  • its fucking shit psp 1000 is even better

  • I have it and I love it fuck wifi

  • its pretty shitty and chep looking as well and the sad part is that the psp 3000 is only $130 i mean isnt that lik 100 euros lol whats the point also the 3000 is everywer in the usa i mean com on wifi 1 speaker and a matte finnish giv me a break at that rate i would order the 3000 or wait 4 da vita

  • OMG OMG OMG I watched this and next to me my PSP had gran turismo in it aswell and my PSP is that psp!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!

  • @TheLegoMaster456 hhaha i got gran turismo for free and its hacked but e1000 its shit you should of saved up for the vita

  • at 4:50 look at the date " 12/12 12:12 :D

  • @zikazivac94 Unfortunately no, it's a basic plastic strip with buttons underneath

  • The pink PSP??haha:D

  • @digi194 ?

  • WTF

  • U have gf that have PSP?!!! Awesome, i need that gf too...

  • Is it possible to download games from internet and mod it to a memory card?

  • psp e1000 and e1003 are the same the added didjit shows were it from so 1000 means japan 1003 means uk

  • Should i sell my psp 3000 for this? Just askin'

  • @maximum1able not really worth it, would only reccommend this to people who haven't already got a PSP

  • @maximum1able No dont this hasnt got wifi and also your psp 3000 much better looking then this new e1000

  • I got the PSP Street ( PSP e1003) wich might be a newer version of e1000

  • great review, just wondering where u got the downloaded games from?

  • @Betto1andM3rch1 can get them from the playstation store online *cough*

  • @jonvmagic hi man should i buy this or pay a bit extra and get the vita ? (btw this is gonna be my first psp)

  • @prendanski mate are you fucking mad you want to buy the psp e1000 and its gona be your first psp no m8 buy the vita please psp e1000 its shit save up for the vita 1 month to go

  • You could've picked up a used PSP 3000!

Or maybe import one from America or Japan...

  • @an1man1ac54l1f3 even a used (decent qulity) 3000 is more expensive than the e1000, with this I get it boxed, new, with charger and without years of wear.

importing's expensive, I wanted the e1000 for games and games alone so it was a good deal and I'm pleased :-)

  • @pspgamer01 difficult to tell... Battery can't be removed, seen online that it's 1600 so less than the original but more than the psp3000

  • @isawrosetta thanks :-)

  • how many mAh is the battery?

  • @pspgamer01 have not noticed vertical stripes... possibly referring to the pixel separation which is slightly more noticeable nowadays in the wake of HD smartphone screens

  • The thing you noticed with the screen not have good visual when looking for another angle is weird. This is the first psp that has that.

  • but I also read on a review that there are vertical stripes on the E-1000 on some backgrounds. did you notice that?e

  • "Do not judge me" Haha. Nice video.

  • @pspgamer01 you can still likely pick the psp3000 up online if you want wifi, however if you're simply looking for a version of the console purely for single player/homebrew/emulators etc then IMO buy this one

  • @jonvmagic I think I am gonna go for this one. I always wished for psp with a matte finnish in black color. And I already have a black psp 3000 xd.

  • @ninigou1983 and sony have made a good business decision releasing a budget version of the PSP for those who still want to play their library of games now the Vita is being released. It's a shame about the lack of wifi, it really is... but the release of this machine is not down to "pathetic ppl here in EU" it's down to good business sense and once you've held this console vs the other versions then you'll see why some people would rather get this than the psp3000

  • @ninigou1983 and that's your opinion... forget the mono sound, it makes no difference in real world situations. Forget the lack of a memory card cover, you'll always have a card in there + I've had a nintendo DS for years and that hasn't broken due to a lack of a cover on the card slot. I personally dissagree, this isn't a rip off, it's the best design (aesthetically speaking) and cheapest version of the PSP yet.

  • serious this is the worst product design I have seen in modern gaming industry, no memeory card slot cover ? mono sound ? sony is not crazy, it's the pathetic ppl here in EU who keep supporting them no matter what kind of idiotic decision they made to rip you off

  • Comment removed

  • I don't like it that the memory stick slot isn't covered. Won't there get more dust inside now?

and you're right about the psp 3000 suddenly disappearing. I am probably gonna buy this psp because I can get it for 89 euros (can't get cheaper). While the psp 3000 cost 125 euros.

  • have you looked on amazon.co.uk there is a couple but they aren't cheap

  • @iamtheinception agreed, I would have like to compare it to the psp3000 but don't have one ;-) thanks for the comment!

  • @Virus71193 depends what you mean by "too late" really... Games will still be produced for a while in the same way that Nintendo are still releasing DS games, but the benefit would be the quality back catalogue that's available.

  • @jonvmagic very nice review, thank you.

  • is it too late to buy a psp? i mean, with the psvita comming out will they still support the psp?

  • @Virus71193 yeah they still sell psp

  • Great video. Though I think it would be better to compare it against the psp 3000. But you probably do not have access to one atm. But great nonetheless.

I can't wait until I have enough money to buy it. It's NZD $170 so it will take a while. :)

  • Great review, the first properly in-depth one I've seen! I'll hopefully be getting one of these soon. One question: will I need to buy a memory stick as well for game save files? Some shops are advertising the E1000 as having "64MB internal memory", but I can't find a definite answer as to whether that can be used for game saves.

  • @Andrew120392 you'll need a memory card, the advertised 64mb internal storage is the "UMD Cache" which, when turned on caches some of the UMD information to memory to minimise the amount of times the UMD has to be accessed. Cheers for the comment

  • @Andrew120392 in other words yes if anything you will get a 32 mb card with it which is good only for game saves and very few at that at least 1gb is good if your only guna play games higher is for music/movies

  • seriously wish they gave the 3000 this design releasing it cheaper caus wifis the only thing stopping me from this, best design ever for this one

  • @MrMattg45 agreed, I like the design - it is a shame about the lack of wifi but then againit doesn't matter to me as I won't be playing multiplayer and any games/updates can be downloaded onto the console by connecting up to a pc via micro USB. Thanks for the comment

  • phone i mean

  • @TGameMaster1993 iPhone4

  • @jonvmagic that is a really good phone the quality is very good

  • Your phone shoots well. what phome is this??

  • finally someone who apreciates what he has and doesnt make bad comments on something that some people like

  • @MegaSpeedy67 thanks for the comment!

  • @jaydenhacksalot personal preference really. getting wifi for an extra 10 AUS dollars seems like a pretty good deal (I wasn't even aware they were still selling the 1000 "new") but I personally prefer the look and feel of the lighter, more rugged e1000 and the lack of wifi doesn't bother me in the slightest as I just put games/updates on via the USB connection. Thanks for the comment

  • awesome review man, get some more vids up. Subbed. Btw some people have complained about white lines during gameplay, have you seen anything like that?

  • @xNewAgeWarriorx haven't seen any issues with "white lines" on the screen... The only "complaint" I would have about the screen on the e1000 compared to the original would be the slightly poorer viewing angles. Realistically, being a handheld console you naturally tilt it to view anyway so it's only noticeable when it's on a desk.

    thanks for the comment

  • where you were before?? it`s first complex video of this console witch i found on youtube thanks a lot for this video

  • @TGameMaster1993 thanks! Made this video because I couldn't find any complex reviews myself
