Nintendo actually seriously considered Geno, and he was consistently in the top 5 most wanted characters in that poll Nintendo did in Japan in 2006. Beware the Forest Mushrooms can even be found in the game via emulators and such.

Oh, or Lufia, Mystic Quest, Secret of Evermore and so on? I actually played Earthbound last year but it doesn't had the atmosphere and fun factor like Terranigma. It's just my opinion =)
