AVGN/Nostalgia Critic Contest

I love and admire both the Critic and the Nerd, but in this case, the NC wins. He took his time to play with this idea of reviewing a video game in lieu of a movie. We get a solid performance out of James but it left me wanting more. James is very imaginative and a great filmmaker. But here we get standard Nerd. Nothing new. The Critic actually gets more creative nearly parodying both his and James' respective style. So point goes to Doug.

you cut out a little too much off of both critics, though its nice of you to put in both reviews in 1 video to decide which one is better. I have to admit that im a huge fan of the NC just because i´ve never been a gamer. I dont know all the games, but i do know most of the movies critic reviews and most of the time can just agree with his conclusions (which are HILARIOUS) so I think the critic won this battle because it seems that he put more effort in reviewing something hes clueless about.^^

NC wins. He arranged this entire thing to begin with and even went as far as filming it in James' house and getting Kyle Justin and (I'm guessing) Mike Matei involved. AVGN just played the film and explained it like some sort of human Wikipedia article and tacked on the Punch Out theme. It wouldn't have taken much time or thought to make it alot funnier.

It was nice to see NC dress up in AVGN clothes with the pens in his shirt pocket except for the hat. But why didn't AVGN dress up like NC with a hat on and a red tie and a black jacket? I was just wondering because if they were going to switch between movies and games, why not switch between clothes.

Oh and switch names too. Such as:

NC = Angry Video Game Critic (which already happened)

AVGN = Nostalgia Nerd (that would be funny)

Probably because AVGN (James) lacks sense of humor and has more of a serious and emotional tone (especially if it deals with his childhood) in his videos than NC.

I like the AVGN. The Critic sounds more like plain shouting and ranting, but the nerd makes better use of dialogue. Both reviews point out pointless facts and how so many aspects of both products have absolutely zero relevance to what the topics covered are.
