@clothingman2000 from your comment, do you do character animations? if so I would like to know if the math involved in animation is hard and if it is neccassary to do math to create an animation.
It would help if Cintiqs didn't cost an ungodly amount. Drawing with an Intuos 3, or any other tablet is ridicules, and counter intuitive, having to look at the screen, whilst not being able to see the pen marks, is a big problem for me.
hello, i am interested in cartoon animation. im not exactly what the carrer is but all i can do is give examples of the tasks. cartoon network has shows like scooby doo and soon to be young justice. i want to be one of the guys that design the characters, background and then work on the computers to actually create the scenes. does anyone know what that career is, animator? cartoon animator? i really need help
hi ive been in the animating business for about 3 years im 11 years old and i want to make an animated show i draw really well i just dont know where to publish my show
@thoreaulycrafted You're probably one of those types who thinks spanking children when they do something wrong is a horrible evil crime. We encourage kids way too much. Last place in little league baseball doesn't deserve a trophy.
And kids in art claiming to be professionals with as much experience as those in the "business" deserve to be told the truth, for their own sake and for the sake of not insulting those artists who have spent their lives working toward becoming real professionals.
@Nhkms15 yes, it will hurt your eyes but thats why you take breaks. Its weird because most graphic designers and some 3D animators i know dont even use glasses or anything like that.
@Nhkms15 most displays now a days are not harmful to the eye, however it's just like looking at a book, if you stare at it too long and too close ur eyes start to get tired, so you should keep your distance from the display and take brakes, a good relaxing exercise for eyes covering your eyes for 30 seconds, it will not focus on anything, that's how the eyes rest, also another exercise is to look at stuff in the room, scanning everything,
@Nhkms15 I work all day with computers, fixing them and constantly playing MMO's with them and it doesn't affect my eyes. However if you're new to it, I suggest working in short periods of time and taking breaks often. Also ergonomics is something to consider.
WHAT TABLET IS THAT

you dont do math to create an animation maybe for computer but not for hand drawn animation
blackham7 4 months ago
@blackham7 Depends, if you do a straight ahead style for 2d maybe not, but if you're doing pose to pose, most of the time people graph it out
RinoaHSquallL 1 month ago
@blackham7 Math isn't involved in computer animation either, unless you're a robotic... animator, haha.
