There is no cross-platforming for the XBOX, only ps3, pc, and mac. And the only real advantage the PC and mac community will have is experience, since the ps3 is gonna offer mouse and keyboard support.

@frodolinho Well, on the IGN preview video (you can find it on this channel) they said exactly that. That CS:GO was not going to be CS:S2 or a major new reinstatement of the franchise, but basically CS:S with better graphics, new weapons, new maps, new features and some map changes.

Rather disappointing actually. <:-/

@calleford Probably because the reporter was really hoping VALVe's next game would be Episode Three.

That's what anybody who's waited this long for a Half-Life 2 sequel only to get CS:GO looks like when they have to interview somebody who thought it would be a good idea to do that. ;-)

@MaximillianZakes Yeah, tell me about it! I'd probably be just like that too. After L4D, we got L4D2, then Portal 2, now Dota 2 and CS:GO and STILL no sign of HL2:EP3!

The worst part is that in the IGN preview, they said -SPECIFICALLY- that this is not CS2, but basically Counter-Strike: Source with improved graphics, gameplay, new weapons and reworked maps. Why do we need that? People are still playing 1.6 over 10 years later, so why do we need "CS Source: Improved Edition?" Ugh. -_-'

Every time a new game gets released, I lose a little more faith that Ep3 is going to be a good game. I hope I'm wrong, but that nagging doubt remains ...

@MaximillianZakes CS:GO is just an excuse to get CS to current gen consoles I believe. I still have faith in Valve, I've heard numerous times that Ep3 has been scrapped and they're working on something bigger. Some Valve official said "hang in there with us" in an interview. Ep2 had a huge cliffhanger, can't wait too long..

@calleford You're probably right about why they're making CS:GO. Gabe Newell needs more money for his cheeseburger addiction! XD *Ep3 gets delayed 600 years VALVe time* :'-(

It was Doug Lombardi who uttered those hopeful words. At lot of people think they'll just make Half-Life 3 now with Ep3's plot, because they think the word "Episode" = 7 hour game. But really, I hope they call it Episode Three but have it be at least 10 hours long.

The current Source graphics are good, though! :-)
