  • show church there's no God in this scenery

  • Under the direction of Don Neuen the choir sounded really great, it's a shame that he had to leave after Sheila Schuller's judgemental reaction to the professionaly paid choirmembers. She is ruining the Crystal Cathedral with her "lift your hands happy slappy joy joy evangelical biggot" buffoonery. She also chased away R.Schuller junior calling his sermons not anointed, Schuller jr. gave an extensive interview about this I was hartbroken and sad.

  • @Sesquiltera , It is Assembly of God feeling now. Do no care for it. Do not want a praise band or whatever the have. I enjoy the mighty organ and choir. No wonder they are in trouble.

  • After reading all the comments I feel uneasy and tense. I can see how Holy wars start.

  • thats our british anthem!!!!

  • koitiz...i think u hv no nothing about how they built this church, go and read this book " tough time never last but tough people do" by robert schuller, u will find out he's positive thinker n possible thinker. guarantee u will get benefit from him.

  • By the way, the Anthem is BRITISH (God save the Queen)

it's NOT American anthem. Even me, which is Serbian orthodox, know that!!!

Temple is magnificient, and organ too!!!

  • @slowstar1951 i agree but when america was foudned they had not fuckin national anthem so what they did was write the anthem to the tune of our british one, and later they got there own, and thuis is typical american OVERDONE AND CRAZY!!!!

  • Sorry to say...this place has gotta be the biggest waste of money Ive ever seen.

And people wonder why the world is so hard on Christianity...

  • Well, you came here and watched it as did many others. Maybe some came to see a big organ but left closer to Christ. People probably thought Soloman's Temple was a waste of good ceedar.. :)

  • Touche. I guess there are always 2 sides to every coin...

  • god bless germany!

  • This is a perfectly wonderful video! It is entirely appropriate to THANK GOD for one's country - if it is a good one like the USA - and to HONOR that land in which you live.

"Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's and to God the things that are God's" was very specifically, in its CONTEXT, speaking directly about one's money! God should not be robbed of the HONOR due Him in order to pay taxes, or for any other reason.

  • From a theological perspective (as I am a trained theologian) one's duty as a Christian is also to be a good citizen, and not lose sight of the fact that it is God who gives freedom, and true and total freedom does not come until and unless God makes you free. There is nothing wrong with recognizing country in church. Just place it all in perspective.

  • Well said! :)

  • They seem to ignore what Jesus said in regards to God and state...

"Give unto Caesar what is Caesar's, and give unto God what is God's"

The problem with America is that they tend to mix the two a LOT. And thus they ignored what Jesus said... nothing new there BTW ;)

  • This is kind of sickening. The church is for worshiping God, not America.

  • This is right! That is why I had been shocked so much about it! I never saw such a service before all over the world!

  • @sabvet I agree, it is disturbing to see the flag cover up the cross and alter, it goes to show how twisted the American church has become. How can a church stand behind any nation that wages wars in the name of Christ, the one who commanded us to love our enemies and turn the other cheek? It's sad I think to see earnest people who truly want to follow Christ be manipulated and contorted into thinking American Nationalism is the finest form of worship they can give our Lord Jesus

  • @allbutabystander The cross is permanently fixed over the percussion section, and there is no fixed altar in this church.

America does not wage war in the name of Jesus, but in the name of Liberty.

"Turn the other cheek" does not mean "sit there helplessly while being attacked violently"!

We don't worship American Patriotism; we worship the Son of God who sits at the right hand of the Father - the one who gave us this great land. Alas, the majority of the US are hypocrites and aren't saved!

  • "Sure I wave the American flag. Do you know a better flag to wave? Sure I love my country with all her faults. I'm not ashamed of that, never have been, never will be." -- John Wayne

"To insist on strength ... is not war-mongering. It is peace-mongering."

    Barry Morris Goldwater

"Evil triumphs when good men do nothing." -Thomas Jefferson

  • @s0methingcreative Patrick Henry said: "It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions, but on the gospel of Jesus Christ. For this very reason peoples of other faiths have been afforded asylum, prosperity, and freedom of worship."

We are not worshiping America, but giving thanks to the One who gave us America!

  • Patriotic song for usa on july 4; this is the tune of God Save the Queen - lovely.

    Cheers.
