Okay, 96% of African Americans voted for Barack Obama, and you somehow use that as "proof" to conclude that most, if not all, of them voted for him simply because they identify with his race- that he is too? Not because they think he's a better candidate for the job? Not because of some other confounding reason to your "proof"? In other words, your conclusion likely does NOT follow from the evidence.One would need a breakdown of that vote, for why they voted as they did, to make that conclusion.

So let me get this straight. According to Carole Simpson, I, a white person, will not vote for Barack Obama. And second, Barack Obama is black and because of this he should not run for President because I might not vote for him. An increadibly idiotic statement. The "Bradley effect" is about people saying they will vote for a Black man, then not doing so. If they already voted for a Black man in the primary, you then have to figure out why they would not do the same in the general. Events may overtake him; but if Whites already voted for him in the primary (over one or more White people), race alone would not explain why they would chang behavior in the general. So overall, a dumb statement.
