I'm originally from the UK and got to ride a few trails in Glyncorrwg last year during a trip back. Whites Level is awesome. One of the best trails I've ever ridden. There's just so much variety on that one trail.
There's plenty of good riding around New Zealand for sure. Check out 'Drop in NZ' if you want to watch a New Zealand mountain biking road trip. Be warned that it'll make you want to visit though.
ok, will do...I already want to go there after we rode with a Mouri Girl and her Bristol husband locally and heard about it over there...Glyncorrwg is good, but there are better natural bits in South Wales so if you're ever back here chechout our rides and come along!
Cheers. The ATC2K takes SD cards up to 2Gb in size - which is enough storage for just under 1hrs worht of video. It's completely self contained inc 2 AA batteries, so is a bit heavy when mounted to helmet. It comes with a mounting for handlebar, but mounted here the image is way too shakey. Image quality is good enough for youtube, but it suffers wavey affect which is really visible at 640x480. Do google search for ATC2K - they are plenty of reviews out there.
Hi there. I just got one of these cameras. Pretty impressed but how on earth did you manage to keep the picture so steady? My first off road attempt was so shaky even though I had the camera securely strapped to the side of the head tube.
The camera was cable tied to 2-3 layers of inner tube wrapped around the frame of my full supension 2001 Mt Marin Vision. It was mounted in the front triangle, just in front of the shock. It was the only position that I could find where the image wasn't too shaky.
Thanks for that. I think I need to put some sort of bung between the front end of the camera and the frame and then strap it down to stop the front end moving around too much while slotted into the mounting bracket.

I am looking for a system like yours and I would like to start filming from the handlebar... Has this camera some memory? Or do you need to have it connected to a laptop? Awesome vid btw!

The camera is focusing on your bike wheels rather than the trail so it's washed out.
