@elitemathlete It is like everyone else has said, though. 'Red-ing'. You could even say 'read', as long as you mean it in the past tense, such as 'I have read that the correct way to pronounce Reading is 'red-ing', and that anyone who says otherwise is acting ignorant, perhaps intentionally'.

One way you could think it was pronounced 'ree-ding', is if you didn't realise it was the actual name of a place. As in, you thought it was reading and not Reading. Thanks for reading up about Reading.
