Ok, so I am from Germany and I feel like I need to clarify things here^^

It's true that almost nobody watched 30 Rock when it premiered BUT it was shown on pay-tv which means the viewership is already very limited AND if you watch the show synchronised it's only half as funny as it is in English, so a lot of people wait for the DVDs to come out so they can watch it in English.

Don't take the poor ratings in Germany the wrong way Tina, we love you :)

If the show tanked in Germany it's because it wasn't properly promoted. And because you really have to watch it in english. Of course if you're german and watch it in english, you'll be apalled by what they're trying to pass off as "german" on the show... because it doesn't make sense half of the time. Still, I'm german and I LOVE this show. It's awesome. Especially Alec Baldwin. :D

I'm one of the 50 germans who watched the premiere of 30 Rock in Germany and since that day I'm in love with Tina and 30 Rock !!!

There are 3 reasons why 30 Rock isnt succesful in Germany:

1. Its just too american for the average german audience

2. The Series runs on a channel that NOBODY watches

3. 90% of all germans dont have any taste and they are too stupid to understand the humour of 30 Rock.

Its so embarrassing that 30 Rock is a hit all over the world and the germans just dont get it.
