I have been thinking about this for the last few days. I have not seen the movie "Good Hair" every time I go to the video it's out. I have not had relaxer in my hair since November 09 and I am going natural. When I went to the salon back in Nov I did not want a perm but the girl did not know what to do with it so after being natural for 9 months I fell back. The half wigs are pulling my hair out in the front so I will be following you and other youtubers looking for ideas for protective styles.
Genesis: God created everything & called it good. Isaiah: God knows every strand on your head (and all our days) even before you were born. Since He knows every strand isn't that Him calling it Good? I still believe idolatry is still a commandment He holds us accountable, & we must turn over every stone to expose darkness to light. So, if we shouldn't idolize (anything) why do we advocate the main stream point of view of something? Is that us really standing for something or what is right?
I have asked the same questions to God..... U aint crazy and trust u aint by yoself! my first weave i took it out cause it was not me.... I had it hanging up in the bathroom for the longest and i promise (kid u not) i thought it was EVIL (LOL) if u would like but i did. i thought to myself (self) whos head was this on? I just watched good hair 2day and now I see what is being done. so happy for that movie as well, anyways i to am thinking about going natural!
