I can only speak personally for myself, but it doesn't make me want to kill myself, I think it's beautiful and realistic, the bare emotions are expressed so strongly and honestly and it is a welcome relief alongside most other awful music genre's, true it's extreme but we live in extreme times and it's a reflection of thus. I dislike original black metal as i find it tuneless noise, but I love the depressiveBM, some of it has some beautiful melodies - e.g. tortured by solitude by coldworld.
